Asking her to not behave is like asking anyone else to stop breathing. :D

It's Friday. The weekend is nearly upon us.
So too is winter. During the winter, sailors sit around the fire in the inn and tell tall sea tales, while mending sails, repairing rigging and dreaming of warm summer breezes.
So as you hunker down for the winter, pour yourself a cup of Grog, grab some stew and tell your tall tails here.

Remember though, the cove is always perfect, the weather warm, the breeze fresh and the water a crystal blue.

Good Morning!

You know, I've always wanted to sail a boat down the Intracoastal Waterway from NJ to the Florida Keys...

Yeah! That would be an awesome trip.
I've always wanted to do three things (which could be done in 1 fell swoop).

Sail around Cape Horn (west to east, though, the easy way).
Sail in the Southern Ocean: (Australia to Rio anyone?)
Race an offshore ocean race.

If I could get a crew spot in the Volvo Round the World Race, that would do all three!

Thing is, once I get down there, I'd stay. ;)

How do you get a crew spot? Have you tried? Any connections?

As it is, the trip to the Keys would probably be way too long on a boat for me. I couldn't imagine that Round the World Race.

A beautiful day for sailing in these parts. Cool, crisp, not much wind...

Fall is great when it's not pissy...

I hope all the Cove Dwellers are having a good morning...

I hope all the Cove Dwellers are having a great weekend.

I know mine just improved exponentially...

It's tough. Mostly these are actual pro sailers. Guys - and ladies - who make their living in the sailboat/sailmaking/racing industry.
So, not likely to happen.
You know it's a dream, not really sure I'd want to spend a year racing sailboats around the world. But hey, gotta have my dreams!

I'm here late.
I don't really know why.
I have to get up.

So, I'm leaving now.

I hope my drunken musings this evening have not hurt or offended anyone.

I fear somehow, I have hurt someone.

CRAP...

Hey buddy, drinking and posting can result in revealing TMI. Take it from me, be careful! :D

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. :)
