Looking for a story where a guy is separated from his wife for many many years as a result of his service in Iraq. Much happens and then he sails his boat to a foreign country and lives there on his boat docked there. He is heart broken and he is prohibited from any interaction with anybody he ever knew. . I think he had a dog. Years later his wife finds him and introduces him to his daughter that he never knew he had. Don’t remember the rest. Thanks for any input. UPDATED DESCRIPTION.

Hi all, thank you for your input. I will check out the stories you mentioned. I have found the story I was looking for. What threw me off is there is no mention of sailing in the title or description. It is “We’ll go no more a roving”. by DTIverson. I should have known it would be his, he is one of my favorite writers, exceptionally good. In my search I also found another very good read by Bumbling Fool called “Sailing into Ambuscade”. He didn’t write many, but what he did write are very good. Thank you for the suggestions by Richard Gerard, he is also an excellent writer and a friend to Iverson. Thanks again to all. Semper fi
BTW, Want to apoligize for a misleading description. Did mix up a few different stories. In the iverson story, there is no cheating wife. The mc gets separated from his wife as a result of his service in Iraq. A really very good read.
