Safe Sex Toy Disposal

Hello!

I have been searching far and wide for a safe way to dispose of my old sex toys that have seen their last uses. I am USA based and there does not seem to be any places that are still operating that dispose of sex toys safely. Websites that I have found like sextoyrecycling.com and scarletgirl.com no longer are functioning. The last “known” recycler is in the UK but defeats the purpose of recycling a dildo or vibrator if I have to send it across the Atlantic. I have tried my local sex shop and they were more clueless than I was...

So here I am! If you have an unique ways you have recycled your old toys or found new ways to reuse them, please respond! I am pretty handy and could definitely repurpose, I just need to know the safest way I can do it!

3 1/2 years later I don't know what OP even meant by "safe."

If it's safe enough to go in your body, it's plenty clean enough for the regular rubbish.
