Iraq must disarm
Iraq is seen as a threat to the world(in particular the US)
Iraq has a depleted army
Iraq has outdated depleted equipment
Iraq however has weapons of mass destruction
Iraq has weapons acquired from the same country that wants to fuck it over.
Whatever reasons are the case, the US will invade Iraq. With or without UN approval. The UN is a council with representatives from countries all over the world. If this council sees Iraq as a threat to it's neighbours and all those who are seated upon the council, then it is up to those nations to decide the fate of Iraq.
The most powerful nation on the planet has pushed for the green light as it sees Iraq as a threat to the American people and others. Yet the world is divided on the issue, and even those in favour of Saddam's removal, see the US invasion as nothing more than an oil expedition and gaining a wider control of the middle east. For the US to occupy Iraq, it can then hold a firm base in the centre of the middle east, to conduct an attack against Iran.
Out of all of this, the US states that if Iraq was to use chemical weapons and the like against the invading US forces, then it would face dire consequences. In other words, they will Nuke the country.
What if another forgein nation were to attack or invade the US under the pretext of protecting their sovereignty. As in what the US is claiming their reasons are for their planned attack on Iraq?
Wouldn't the US use every weapon or means it has to protect it's people and somehow save their existence?
