My RP partner has had to leave for a few days and now I am sad. I have other RP's (sorry! I am writing my responses, I promise!) but she's my favorite. I suppose I can't complain because I have also had to leave temporarily, and for much longer - but that doesn't mean I can't be sad! 
I think I'll treat my sadness with distraction...
