Jimmy was different in that I was a fan at an early age, sort of half-assed lived the lifestyle he sang about in my early days, and of course saw him in concert.
When I was in HS we would get the Chicago WGN station that carried Cub games. Iād watch when coming home from school as Wrigley Field didnāt have lights, so all home games were in the afternoon. I became a Cub fan. Later in the 80ās they made the pennant race and Jimmy sang the National Anthem for the opening game in Wrigley.
To this day, itās one of the best National Anthems Iāve ever heard!
