Today is the day that our Prince Claus is burried. He was the husband of our queen and very loved.

His great dignity will no doubt be reflected by the Dutch people today.

A sad day for the Netherlands.

a lovely man, by all accounts. His humour was instrumental in winning the public over when Beatrice announced to a shocked population that she was marrying a German.

But he made up for it and then some.

RIP

I lived in The Netherlands (in Groningen and Amsterdam) for a long time.

I think I'll go with a black borderd Orange desktop today.

I'm listening to the radio all day and you can feel the melancholy almost everywhere.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I really must listen to the news more often.

Is it a public day of mourning?

I'm very sorry to hear that. My dad is in mourning today (he's dutch, born and raised in Holland)

I send my condolances, and I mourn a little myself, because, from what I've seen, heard, and read, he was a fantastic man.

Thank you Vixen. He was a fantastic man and although he couldnt be on the foreground he was very important for The Netherlands, in many ways.

It's really strange to see a mourning family so upclose on the tv. Maybe it should have been more private.
On the other hand it was very beautiful and i had to swallow a few times...
