I need a new running playlist in Spotify. What are some of your favorite upbeat running/workout songs?

Only The Young by Journey

There is not a single Journey song that is not worthy of my list!! Definitely adding it!!!! (I always seem to have Journey songs on my lists, but not sure I've had this one before. It's running through my head now!)

I've always liked the "pace" it sets when I work out.

Be Good To a Yourself is another by them with a good beat

38 Special is great music to run to, but some of their songs make me sad... Memories.

Here's a few from my list

Fight for Your Right - Beastie Boys
Highway Star - Deep Purple from "Made in Japan"
I want you to want me - Cheap Trick
Pump t Up! - Elvis Costello & the Attractions
Given the Dog a Bone - AC/DC

I don't really run, but I use my elliptical here at home 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week or when I go to the gym (slacking lately) I do the same or a stair climber.
On the days when I'm doing 4 miles under 30 minutes, it's always metal.
(Lamb Of God, Slayer, Chimaira, Arch Enemy, Sylosis....)
That type of metal music pushes my limits.
Other programs (Sprint 8, rolling, hill climb...) I play all different types of rock.

Wild Ones by Flo Rida/Sia is stuck in my head. Need to add for tomorrow's run, plus I see some new suggestions!! Thanks!!

A lot of upbeat 80's music would probably work great- they all have the same rhythm and are so damn happy. Examples- Girl's Just wanna Have Fun, Dancing on the Ceiling, I just want to dance with somebody, Love is a Battlefield, etc.

But stay away from showtunes... (I kept catching myself singing instead of breathing correctly.)

Lol, about singing along. Ok, no show tunes! I also try to avoid meaningful songs because I find myself thinking too much instead of CLEARING my head. Love 80s music, will definitely add some Pat Benetar.
