Running High

"Well while she is being agreeable," he thought.

What time should I expect you?

His message both excited and scared her, and quite frankly she was getting mighty tired of the scared part. Why couldn't she just enjoy a dinner with JC without freaking out about it? Why did she let herself get so tied up in knots?

Drumming her fingers on the table, she considered her options. If she had to work, she had to work... and he already said he'd understand. If she didn't, would she actually go? Going to dinner didn't mean she'd spend the night, right?

Her fingers tapped out the only response that she could outright give him at the moment:

I work until at least 6 unless I have to stay for the second shift

JC looked at Nicole's response and was pleasantly surprised that she didn't back out when he asked for a time.

Then 7? Give you time to run home to freshen up? Or would you rather shower here?

Nicole laughed when she saw the question about the shower, assuming he was teasing her about their shower from the day before. If she were more like Malinda, she'd take him up on the offer, but the mere thought of stripping down to her birthday suit in his apartment left her stomach clenching.

Um, 7 is fine

JC laughed at Nicole's "Um" comment. He thought back to the shower and how he had used mostly his thigh to get Nicole off earlier. He wondered at just how it would feel if she were riding his face or better his cock as she fucked herself on him. That line of thinking of course led to a very predictable reaction and he headed toward his next class with a nascent bulge in his shorts.

Great! Can't wait to see you.

Catching sight of the time, she reluctantly pushed herself up to her feet as she texted:

Have to head to work. Will let you know if I can make it.

Grabbing her purse and her keys, she locked up and got in the car before that little part of her that wanted to be more like Malinda needled her into adding:

I hope I can.

JC went through the rest of the day finishing homework and classes before heading back to his apartment. He changed into shorts and running shoes. He left his phone grabbing an MP3 player and headed out.

A little over an hour and a half later he was back, sweating profusely. The run had done it's job in giving him some clarity and focus. His Uncle Tommy was right that he had to talk to Nicole. He was also right, he thought, that the conversation would scare her away. "Fifty Shades" aside, one does not merely talk about his particular needs in casual conversation.

Ultimately though it wasn't fair to Nicole or himself to try and hide his desires and needs from her. If she couldn't or didn't accept them, then she wasn't the one, or even a one.

He glanced at his phone and saw no texts from her yet and smiled wanly. The night was still on.

Once again work kept her hopping, and Nicole wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, it kept her mind too busy to be obsessing over whether or not JC would really want her to spend the night should be able to go to his place for dinner. On the other hand, it made the day pass so quickly that before she knew it, it was time for the shift change meeting.

She stood towards the edge of the group, back against the bar, and chewed on her fingernail as she waited to hear who'd be cut free for the night and who'd have to stay. Normally she didn't care either way, but tonight she was anxious, very anxious. So when Bill said she could head out, she didn't immediately acknowledge his words, as her mind and heart started warring over what she should do.

A tap on her shoulder had her looking up into Bill's friendly face as he said, "Get out of here, you... Go have some fun so I don't feel so bad for making you be on call so much this week."

Blushing a little from having been caught daydreaming, she gave the older man a shy smile and said softly, "No worries... I, um, have dinner plans tonight" before pushing herself away from the bar and went to retrieve her purse and head out.

She had texted Malinda about her potential dinner date earlier during a break, and when she checked her phone before starting up the car she found an order to call her when she got off work. Sighing, she sent her a text explaining she was headed home and that she'd call her friend when she got there.

Twenty minutes later, she was staring at her phone, half tempted to tell JC she couldn't make it. Malinda had spent their entire call telling her that she needed to live a little and to just enjoy whatever happened with JC. She was all for her spending the night at JC's as long as she made sure her phone was working.

And that's how come she had a small overnight bag packed tucked beside her despite not knowing if she'd actually need it and was staring at her phone. She really wanted to see him again, although she couldn't tell herself why. Yes, he was handsome... and smart... and funny... But he was so much.... more.... than anything she had ever experienced.

She felt a little shaky as she typed:

Still want to do dinner?

Yes. See you soon.

JC started prepping dinner, a chicken risotto dish that he had picked up along the way; maybe he had learned it from his dad. Or was it his uncle Tommy?

He was excited, his heart racing a million miles an hour. He thought about all he had to talk to her about and wondered how does one go about the conversation? "HI I am a dominant and despite what you read Christian Gray really wasn't one?"

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. Running normally gave him clarity but today ot didn't. He was as confused now as he was last night with his uncle.

All of that disappeared as he heard a soft knock on the door. Pulling his tee shirt on, JC went to the door and saw Nicole standing there . He didn't say anything as he scooped her up into his arms and kissed her softly.

Nicole swallowed hard when she saw the affirmative answer. She half hoped something had come up and their plans would be scrapped, but there was not stopping it now. Taking a deep breath, she gathered her things and made her way to the car, where she slowly drove the fairly short distance to JC's apartment.

Parking in one of the visitor spaces he pointed out the day before, she debated about whether or not she should bring the overnight bag with her, but couldn't bring herself to be so bold as to bring it up with her. 'Dinner first... Wait and see after,' she told as she climbed out of the car.

Trudging up the stairs, she almost turned around a half a dozen times before she stood in front of his door. She had to give herself a pep talk before she finally raised her hand and knocked softly on his door. Maybe this isn't a good idea...

JC didn't say a thing when he opened the door, and she gasped in surprise when he lifted her up and kissed her, her feet dangling off the floor. The minute his lips touched hers, Nicole felt all her troubled thoughts melt away, at least for the time being.

One of JC's hands trailed down Nicole's back and he cupped her ass, pinning her body to his. His hard penis was trapped between their bodies as he carried her inside. He kicked the door closed and pinned her to it as his tongue probed her mouth.

As he broke the kiss, JC allowed her to slide down his body until her feet hit the floor and he whispered, "Hi, I have missed you."

Completely overwhelmed by carnality of their kiss, Nicole whimpered softly when his hand lifted her, making her aware of his erection that poked her so intimately. She heard the door slam shut right before she found herself trapped between it and his hard body, which should have left her scared, but instead merely left her excited.

She made a small squeak somewhere between a whimper and a moan when his tongue slipped between her lips so insistently, but it didn't take long before hers was tentatively moving against his in response.

A little dazed when he finally pulled back, she looked up at him with a mixture of heat and confusion and their eyes held as he slowly lowered her to her feet, which only left her more excited and more confused.

Hi, I have missed you.

Ducking her head, she admitted, "I did too."

It blurted out before he could stop it, "Really?"

Immediately thereafter his face glowed like a kid entering a candy store with no budget. "I am so happy to hear that, Nicole."

He led the way to the kitchen, "Dinner in 30 minutes. I didnot want to start the risotto until you got here."

He turned and asked, "Would you like a soda?"

Surprised by the note of disbelief in his voice, Nicole looked up in time to see the wide grin spread across his face, lighting it up like Christmas mornings of yesteryear.

I am so happy to hear that, Nicole.

She gave him a little squeeze around his middle before he stepped away, although his hand claimed hers in such a way that it felt perfectly natural as he led her to the kitchen explaining that he had to start the risotto.

Would you like a soda?

"Oh, water is fine," she replied before adding, "I usually try to avoid caffeine after 7pm or I have problems sleeping."

JC 's eyes sparkled at a joke unsaid, "Water it is."

He filled a glass with ice and handed it to her with water from the fridge.

Turning back to the stove he began the risotto and popped chicken into the oven. "How was work?"

Nicole leaned against the counter and watched JC bustle around the kitchen getting the last steps of dinner out of the way. She liked watching him for some reason, his movements sure and unhurried. Kinda like everything he does...

How was work?

She smiled at the question before replying, "I swear the day shift has been busier these last two days than I've ever seen it, but it makes the day go quickly." She took a sip of water before asking, "And you... How were classes?"

JC turned and flashed a smile, "Classes? What classes I spent most my day dreaming about a beautiful woman with honey colored eyes."

He started stirring the rice continuing, "They are okay. I spread them out enough that I can do the homework from one prior to the start of the next. I find it less stressful that way and I can concentrate on what matters the most to me."

He twirled the spoon around his head in a wide arc, "No, cooking isn't that important to me but food is. "

Nicole sighed softly at JC's declaration of having spent the day thinking about honey colored eyes, and then blushed as she hoped that he hadn't heard her reaction. When he went on to talk about his classes, she figured he hadn't and relaxed slightly.

No, cooking isn't that important to me but food is.

His antics with the spoon caused her to giggle, although she was able to rein herself in long enough to say somberly, "Yes, food IS fuel," before giggling again when he looked at her suspiciously.

JC couldn't decide on the vein that Nicole was teasing him. Was it a sexual playfulness? Glancing at her causing more giggles he decided probably not. Though he would swear he heard her sigh happily when he mentioned daydreaming about her.

At that moment he wanted nothing more than to strip her and bend her naked ass over his knees and spank her until one or the other came messily. Having seen her naked, felt her skin under his hands gave a vividness to the vision that flooded his loins with blood and he felt himself stretching his shorts out. He wondered if Nicole would appreciate that sort of attention from him.

He gave the risotto another stir. He had to turn to get a hot paradise heard an almost choked off gasp. He tried not to blush as he said, "Woman have powerful joo joo," with an impish grin.

Nicole wondered if she should offer him a helping hand as she was unused to standing idle while someone else worked, but she was reluctant to interrupt him when he had such a focused look on his face.

Raising the glass to her lips, she was preparing to take another sip of water when he turned and caught a glimpse of his current condition. Swallowing a gasp, she tried to not to stare in that direction, but it was difficult. Because of their shower, she now had hands-on knowledge of what he was sporting under his shorts and she was embarrassed by how tempted she was to do it again.

Woman have powerful joo joo.

There was the slightest hint of color in his cheeks despite his grin, so Nicole merely smiled and asked, "Is there something I can do?"

JC stood a moment incredulous that Nicole would offer help in that way. with a voice full of desire, need, and hunger, JC responded, "Oh yeah," leaving no doubt in his or her mind that the desired help was not with the cooking.

His heart pounded in his chest a moment watching as a blush flooded her pretty face. Smirking like a five year old he flipped the chicken put it back in the oven and returned to the risotto.

Nicole was completely flustered by JC's misinterpretation of her question, and she could only imagine how red her cheeks must be. Unsure what to say, afraid to make another comment he might misread, she stood clutching her glass of water, unable to meet his eyes.

After an ackward couple of minutes where she simply watched as he puttered around the kitchen, she finally tried to break the silence with a hesitant "It smells wonderful..."

"Thanks," he replied with a light voice. "It is a family recipe that I have altered slightly."

He kept his attention mostly on the risotto, knowing it to be a finicky dish at the best of times. At the worst of times it was a glue that would hold any two objects together, like jaws.

"How long will Melinda be out of town? And why did she go?"

He obviously had to pay attention to his dish, and Nicole found it easier to relax knowing that. She moved a little closer to lean her elbow against the counter, and watched in fascination as his forearm muscles moved against each other with each circling stir.

How long will Malinda be out of town? And why did she go?

Looking up from her inspection, she hoped her staring had gone unnoticed before she answered, "Hopefully she'll be back this weekend. She had to go back to Virginia to help her grandmother. Gigi had knee surgery a couple of months ago and has been in a rehab center. Malinda was the only one in her family who could really afford taking the time off so she went out to help her get settled back into her apartment."

JC nodded and quipped, "With whomever shall you spend time?"

He tasted the risotto and it needed about two minutes still. "There is a bottle of white wine, a chardonnay, in the fridge. Do you mind opening it while I finish this?"
