A space for all runners to come together. It doesn't matter if you are a weekend jogger, or a Marathoner, a Trail Runner or an Obstacle Course Race runner. 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2, 50K + everybody is welcome. Drop a few lines and even better, your location. Maybe we can run together sometime! And who knows, maybe cross a few finish lines as well ;-)

I’m a runner from Canberra, Australia.

I’m an avid Park Runner, currently closing in on my 250th event with also a good number of volunteer credits.

Whenever I travel I try to get in a Park Run event, especially if it’s one that starts with a letter I don’t currently have. I’ve still got a long way to go on the Alphabeteer challenge. One of the benefits of living here is that there is a Park Run nearby starting with ‘Q’

The 5km Park Run is my usual distance though I do occasional do 10km or longer.

I've been running for about 50 years and still run (and lift weights) daily. I've completed many marathons, half marathons and other races of random distances. These days, I'm happy with getting my five or six miles in each day. I live in Eugene, Oregon (AKA Track Town USA).

I have been running the local 5Ks for years, and I have done around 20 Obstacle course races from 5k to half marathon. Currently training for a marathon. I'm in Florida.

👋🏻 Also a runner here. Anything up to a marathon distance. Not interested in this point at anything further - the thought of fuelling (eating) during an Ultra is something I just can’t face.

Just off the back of a marathon cycle, but I picked up an injury part way through so had to take the actual race easy. I’m having a couple of weeks off to heal and then I’ll be knuckling back down for a spring ‘25 marathon.

Once thats out the way I’d like to see if I can get back down towards my PB’s for the shorter distances and maybe even set some new ones.

Saturday mornings I’m usually found at our local parkrun although I will occasionally do one somewhere else. We tend to stay local for the socialising as much as anything.

Must be a cool place to live for the running scene!

It’s a beautiful day where I am - blue skies and sun shining. Would love to be out for a run, but will hold off another few days and stick to the indoor bike 🙄🤣

Half marathon #6 is this November. Haven’t run one in 10 years! We’ll see how it goes.
Good luck with it!

Is that for like Zone 2 training?

Kinda. I’ve had a bit of a problem with an adductor - so have laid off the running for a few days. Cycling doesn’t seem to bother it so I’ve used that for a bit of general cardio rather than not doing anything.

I did run today though - and it felt OK. Hopefully no adverse reaction when I get up tomorrow!

Anyone race or have any good training runs over the weekend?

Don’t seem to have had any problems myself from running Friday. Managed a few miles again yesterday keeping it nice and easy; and will do the same again today.

Former runner / racer. However after 8 knee operations that is long gone but I still dream about running. Good excuse why I'm on here
Sorry to hear that 😕 Hope you’ve found something else to fill the void.

It is difficult to train when traveling for business. There is always the treadmill at the hotel, but nothing like the outdoors! Just came back to the room after a 5k on the treadmill. Will try to wake up extra early to put some miles on the street before going to work.

Former runner. I miss it - it was my favorite form of exercise. The best aerobic workout.

I am a big thick dude, so don’t have a runner physique, but I loved it. But knees and ankles have been wrecked.

So lots of walking, hiking and lower impact stuff: spinning bike and elliptical. My wife and I own a farm and we’ve built some excellent trails up in the wooded part of our farm.

Owning a farm is the ultimate goal. Good for you guys! Keep walking and walking... it always helps!

Yep, agree with you on this one - can be hard to find the time once you’ve travelled and worked. I’m not a fan of treadmills either really as I prefer being outside as well but they have their uses. Hope you find some time to get outside today.

Not surprised you miss it; I know I do even when I can’t short term. Glad you’ve adapted though, and the farm and trails sound amazing to have on your land 🙂
