I'm sure you all know the prank call where you call up some random person and ask if their fridge is running and then tell them to chase it. My brain is running and I'm too damn tired to catch it. 
Seriously I'm not kidding, I got maybe halfway through a story on a girl named Shannon sent to a boy's school in England. Then I went and did up a new Longwood series, have a few more stories that I should be able to work on, and here I am working on a steampunk story.
Shoot me, somebody just shoot me now.
Anyway so yeah this is story ideas section so come on guys, hit me with steampunk stuff. Hmmm, you know I probably should lay it out a little better than steampunk. So yeah since ya'll got small heads, story so far is a gal that just turned adult, was an orphan, and got with the brit version of secret service to work with them.
To go with that we have steampunk buildings, brass pipes all over, gas vents that vent at odd times. Coppers, that is police officers, mostly operate above the city in dirigibles, think hot air baloon with a propeller and a turnable basket.
Oh good grief don't look at me like that. The basket is turnable by way of a wheel, steering wheel say or ship wheel. There are motorized vehicles, think a car except steam powered, don't laugh there was actually an attempt to make a steam powered car, and they did make a tractor. Was not the best of machines but it was able to do more than a horse, until it fell over, split the seams or simply blew up. Don't ask on blowing up, it was a steam powered and it did blow up a couple times.
