Note the suicide will NOT be directly covered. The story will be

Prequel signs and symptoms
"I got a phone call from xxxx saying they found xxxx had ended his life with a gun."
Person looks for why because it does not make sense.
Person finds out why and goes full Klingon.
Several twists involved

Yes its very dark
Yes it ends on a better note

I don't see a problem from the site itself. However, depending on category-like if you're doing this in romance-you could get some kickback from readers in the sense of "Man, we come here to escape reality, not read about it" but if that's the story you want, go for it. I think it will be fine especially as you're doing it "off screen"

It has a nice twist or three. Its just an outline and a bazillion miles from done and No, I was not going to put it in Romance.

My story Four Summers (https://literotica.com/s/four-summers-1) featured a suicide leaving a widower with two kids and the rebuilding of their lives. If handled appropriately, you should be OK. I did not include a cautionary note before the story but you may wish to do so.

I cover both actual suicide and suicide ideation in Mors Immatura, but nothing explicit. The FMC’s father commits suicide after her mother dies. A main plot point is her own suicidal thoughts after - some years later - her husband is killed in a road crash.

Published no problem. Then no scenes in which a character takes pills or anything else.

As with almost all subject matter restrictions mentioned in the Literotica rules, it is the context that matters more than the content.
