RTF Formatting

I have a formatting question and found this topic was probably the best to post this question in.

I am attempting to add a different font to a small section of a story that I’m writing. I was hoping to actually put something in cursive script.

Are you aware when submitting or writing in the HTML format? Is there a means of entering the script or cursive writing?

Thank you

Read @FrancesScott's How To for HTML: https://www.literotica.com/s/how-to-format-a-story-with-html

Short answer, you can't change fonts. Literotica specifically prevents it. Exception: you can use a keyboard font, very much the opposite of what you want.
Thank you. I read this publication, actually have it bookmarked. I didn’t see fonts addressed but thought I would inquire.

And yes thank you @FrancesScott your articles assisted greatly in publishing my first series.

Hi,

I think I had some success with this as per:

The code I used was as follows, it seems to be in Times to me šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø.

Code:
<p align="center"><font face="Times New Roman"><strong>C Ā· T Ā· A Ā· M</font></strong></p>

ā€œKnow what this means?ā€ asked Juliana. ā€œCorpus Tuumā€¦ā€

ā€œā€¦Arbitrium Meum,ā€ Evie finished.

ā€œYeah. A credo as old as mankind, sadly.ā€ The archaeologist removed the second man’s mask; he bore the same markings.

I can’t recall whether or not it worked on preview. I think maybe not - it was a while ago šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø.

@TheWritingGroup and @BladeSeanchai thank you for mentioning my essay. It seems, as per @EmilyMiller above, that there is a possible loophole with font changes. I might try to investigate further at some point. If I find out anything (or if others have any information to contribute) I’ll publish an update.
This also worked - I have the text in Word, which I’ve stopped using, so I don’t have the HTML to hand šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø. Will look it up at some point.

Do you what is Literotica's default font?

From the stylesheet on the story content-body element:

ProximaNovaMedium,system-ui,-apple-system,Segoe UI,Roboto,Ubuntu,Cantarell,Noto Sans,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif
That's a list. If you don't have ProximaNovaMedium, or can't get it* then your browser will try the next one in the list. Any browser can do the "sans-serif" one at the end, and almost all browsers can do Helvetica.

* (in 2026 most browsers probably download and install it automatically when the webpage calls for it)
