My latest chapter keeps getting rejected because of image link issues...

I feel like such a fail-face.

It's true. Lit. won't accept the linking of images in a story text. No matter how often you submit it, it's not going to accept a link.

It's #9 in the Submissions Guidelines:

"9. No HTML links or web addresses are allowed within stories."

So that "Rrrrgh" is for yourself after the first time trying it.

I stumbled on this rule by trying to post a story that was all about a fake Web site. Getting the URLs out that was a real bear, especially since it also was in the title.

Mhm. These were just links to the Visual Art's Corner - I'd wanted to give an artist her dues.

I just gave the name of the Web site without any of the linking elements mentioned.

And I wonder how many readers tried finding the Web site anyway. (I once in a novel put a fake boutique hotel in an actual old mill that had a restaurant on top of it and the restaurant manager later told me that people were calling for hotel reservations there.)
