Why do we (spoken as a general encompassing everyone we) continue an argument when we know that the other side is never going to admit any wrongdoing?

Yes, this question is based on all the discussions and arguments that happen in here. For some reason, no one ever agrees to disagree...why do you think that is?

In all arguments does a person need to be wrong? In many ways we don't know what is right or wrong...only what we believe...there may be some "universal" beliefs that most people hold because they are condusive to life but arguing when done respectfully and in the hopes of bettering one's own ideas isn't a bad thing...

Arguing isn't bad just the people who do it...
