Rough Diamond

I waited for Molly, pulling on the pants and wincing as they moved over the wound, 'So, am I carrying you too' I smiled and picked up the travelling equipment

"No, you are not," she replied, not liking being picked up. There was always a chance she would fall. Shaking her head, Molly started to walk toward the hills, map firmly held in her hand. She hoped that a native would be there to guide them if needed.

I watched her walk off then went to fetch the horses, managing to find the mare and saddle her up, with the supplies. % followed the path Molly had taken hoping she'd calm down and wait when she noticed me missing

Molly stopped as she called out his name and he didn't answer. She turned around, only to find... she was completely and utterly alone. She sighed. "COLE?" she cupped her hands around her mouth. "COLE?!"

I heard her calling and rode to the sound, the wound in my leg pulsing angrily.

as I approached he I slowed to a trot 'you ok Molly?'

She put her hand to her heart, glaring at him. "Why didn't you keep up with me?! I was worried sick!" Molly clearly wanted to hurt his injured leg, but restrained herself. "Where did you find the horses? I thought the Doc sold all of his? How's your leg? Keep up next time!"

I looked at her - 'well - you said they'd fine their way - soIcheckedthelivery. Were youworried aboutme Molly?'

Molly puffed out her cheeks, feeling a bit of red on them. Of course, how could she have forgotten? Then she stuck out her tongue. "Worried, about you? The wanted man? You wish. I just didn't want the natives to get their hands on you. After all, if I stick with you... I can get that bounty on Will's head...." An evil aura took over her, her eyes gleaming, a wicked smile dancing on her lips.

Molly grumbled something under breath, but the words Hate, Cowboys, Pudding, and the subject of types of dead people could be heard. She took the reins of one of the horses and continued on foot, leading it close to her. "Don't try me, I can still turn ya in!" She threatened, as a joke.

I smiled 'I'm in your hands Molly' then under my breath 'I wish' as we moved through the wilds 'so how far are we going?'

The day passed and Molly selected a camp spot. I set the fire and arranged two bedrolls beside it, thensat and cooked as Molly tended thehorses, I watched, enjoying her ease with the animals and the shape she made.
After food was consumed I noticed Molly seemed uneasy, I whispered 'you OK?'

Molly blinked before shaking her head. "N-no," she stated, putting her hands up in the air, "nothing that you need to concern yourself about." She pulled her legs up to her chest, her eyes flickering around them. She hoped that Will didn't find them. Quickly standing up, she moved over to the horses once more and started to groom the horses... again.

'hey - sit down. Look you said the natives here aren't big on strangers. Well they like you don't they? So stay calm or we'll have them on us too!'

Molly glared at him. "They like me. They don't know who you are," she replied evenly. She then pointed toward a small group of trees. "No doubt they think Will is part of the group. If not, they are going to be pretty pissed at me. It's gonna take a lot of work to smooth their ruffled feathers."

Molly roled her eyes, muttering something about men and skirts. She couldn't sleep. It wasn't that she didn't want to, it was just that, outside, her body couldn't relax. "Don't trust me," she muttered under her breath and leaned against her horse. The male nipped at her arm lightly.

'well OK - you take first watch then!' I rolled over and pretended to drift off to sleep - allowing my breathing to deepen a little

She shrugged, stretching her arms out. The tiny woman took out a gun and quickly cocked it, aiming at nothing in particular. "I hope the town's alright with sis," she said to herself. Of course, her sister could take care of her self. It was just that with Will at large, Molly couldn't seem to relax. Looking over her shoulder, she decided she'd scout around, making sure their tracks were covered. "Stay here, boy. Your girl needs you," she told the horse and grabbed a shotgun out of the saddle and swung it over her shoulder. She paused, looking over at Cole. "Sweet dreams." With that, she vanished into the trees.

I waited - worrying about her - but she said she was good and so far was. I just hoped I'd not get caught by the natives..

She walked through the trees, looking for signs that they were alone. She frowned as a shoe print came up. Bending down, she whipped the shot gun in her hands. Her eyes narrowed, "Damnit," she muttered as she ran back to camp. "It's either Will or someone that isn't supposed to be here." Molly wondered what the natives would think. Would they blame her and attack her one man group?

There was something moving outside of the circle of light from the fire, I waited - my hand creeping towards my gun.

Then the arrow hit - right between my fet......

Molly felt, rather than saw, the arrow flying over the fire. She skidded to a stop, just behind a tree and cocked her gun, waiting. She saw movement just a few feet away from her. Taking a deep breath, she stepped out. "Cole, don't move," she said aiming the gun where the arrow came from. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes. "Come out, or I blow a hole in your head!"

For some reason, she seemed rather serious.

I froze -Molly had the situation - I hoped, and waited

I sensed Molly behind me and somebody out infront - then he stepped out into thelight - a tall native in buckskin with his bow pointed directly at me

He angrily shouted something in his language - I just stayed still......

Molly didn't aim as she pulled the trigger, the bullet just graze the skin of the tall man. A growl left her lips. "Don't make me shoot it again," she threatened, her eyes narrowing. "You are in breach of the safe passage that I have to get this man to the hills."

"He is the white man who has been after our tribe!" the man pulled the bow back, the posion tipped arrow directly aimed at Cole's heart.

"He is not the one. There is another one who seeks to invade and hurt others," she replied. "Cole is hurt, he cannot be the one who is terrorizing your people. If he is, I will sumbit myself to your tribe as a tribe and can be punished as one."

The man seemed to think about it for a moment, his hand loosening on the bow. He looked at Cole, and spoke so that the man could understand. "Do not fail Molly."
