Yea my father passed away last year so I as an only child Had to invite my mother out to our house to spend xmas with us. Catch is I don't really get along with her but things were cool. skitten made a great xmas dinner and she spent the night with us and it was kinda nice..........

question for all experienced at bondage. a Dom i have been talking to told me the other night that He wasn't into intricate scenes like rope bondage, suspension etc. bec most of the time this type of activity requires a lot of effort and time. that the act of preparing, tying, suspending sometimes takes so much effort that the "fire" tends to go out during the process.

i ask you you this...is this the case with others? have you ever lost the fire because a rope slips, or a harness breaks etc? does the fire burn out for the bottom if the Top isn't experienced and is fumbling through knots etc? any funny bondage stories?

would be interested in the feeback

I never deal with rope bondage for the simple reason: I can't tie knots. I can't even keep my shoelaces tied. The easiest thing for me is leather cuffs, hooks, and leashes.

as a Dom I feel the delay can add to the fire.............The waiting for what is about to come.......
I spend hours planning our playtimes and it can take hours to pull off also.
I love to take my time and drag things out.
Just me, I bet others are the same but thats just us.



After thinking about this I also want ot say one of the reasons things can take so long is I have to have them perfect or they won't be done. Knots need to be tied correctly so if a situation would come up I can remove them or cut them instantly......Safety is my first and main concern.
2nd would be her pleasure....If she is pleased then I will be very pleased as well

Reinforcing what Wizard has already posted. Preparation is paramount. That includes checking all the materials, harness's, etc. that are going to be used. Reviewing every technique with the ropes or other accessories. The time spent in preparation is time and effort well spent.

And the rewards are worth the effort. Like Wizard, I enjoy the process and the extended time yeilds great rewards for both partners.

I have never done a suspension and I doubt that I would even attempt same without extensive consultation with someone that has, including a demonstration of the techniques used. The potential dangers in a suspension are just to great to go off half cocked.

Inept rope handling, knot tying, etc. are not only annoying, it can be down right dangerous. Once again, preparation, practice, and patience are the keys to success.

Just wanted to say I agree with Wizard and Ishmael, the preparation and time taken to properly bind someone all increases the anticipation and stokes the fire. The longer the wait the more intense the eventual act.

On a personal level. IMHO - if I was a sub, I think I would be very worried about entrusting myself and my welfare to a Dom who wanted instant results.

When my partner and I plan a scene the one thing we try to ensure is that within reason there are no time limiting factors. Taking our time is all part of the process.
