That's the phenomenon when you leave a room and forget what you were going to do, and you have to go back in order to remember what it was.
 
Walking into a room and forgetting why you are there is fine.

Walking into a room and forgetting where you are is a problem.
 
I kinda figured this thread would have a little more mileage in it, especially on a Friday night.
 
Have you ever walked into a room and wondered whether or not it was your choice to do so? Was it by your own free will, or was it just a gear turning a larger gear, ad infinitum, as part a pre-ordained, mechanized fate? If you knew the answer, would you be able to change anything, or would your knowing simply be another bit of clockwork?
