When I graduated, I didn't even bother applying anywhere I didn't want to be... interviewed the last half of June that year and was happy to accept the job I did. Definitely lucked out in that... had it not fallen through the way it did, I might've had to have applied to bigger city schools later in the summer.
The local high school here is awesome, but every student at my college does a field experience there at least once, so they get their pick from a bunch of graduates that would like to be hired by them. Not much of a chance to get in there.
I'm not sure exactly where I'd like to go yet, but I have the next year and a half to figure that out. My only big problem is that I'll probably have to get married before I can apply for a job, for lack of a green card. Inconvenient as hell.
