Room 131

Still... great fields... cutting-edge stuff!

I'm in the process of writing one text series and co-authoring another... way too many lousy math books are out there. I write here when my mind wanders from the numbers and the history.
I love history. Don't remember much, buy I love to learn history. Watch the History channel all the time. Of course with my head so full of book learning there's not much room for history, which I can look up anytime, to find a place to sit.

ONe day my prince will come...
I don't know about a prince, it could be a king or a queen ;) but you will have what you wish for.

If that wish is for a prince then you shall have him. Although I think you would do much better with a rich, charming gentleman, who is kind and considerate and looking for a soulmate.

God, I loved the History Channel! And the Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet, too! I miss those channels, damn it! The only way you can get them over here is with Satellite TV and that's freakishly expensive. :(

Know what you mean... I think my head's too full of stuff that really doesn't need to be there, and still try to be more of a student than I am a teacher, myself. There's a hell of a lot more I don't know than there is that I do.

I'm very glad. I'm going to be around this place a lot...I think it's the atmosphere and the decorating that did it. :D

*lol* Everyone did a great job with their additions and touches, that's for certain.

And, of course, you're welcome anytime. *soft smiles* Meanwhile, I've got one last cup of coffee left in my pot before I'll get my butt away from the 'puter this morning. Doing anything fun this weekend, ari?

There's a boy coming over tonight so that should be great. I work tomorrow and Monday and have an interview for another job tomorrow 2 hours I get off of the aforementioned job. I'm also going to actually come up with someone for my portfolio and re-do my design site so I can get that up and running like I've wanted to.

Good times.

Well, best of luck with the interview and the site! I'll light a green candle for you in the hopes things go better than planned. Hope you enjoy your time with your guy tonight, too! ;)

My b/f has his daughter over for the weekend... the three of us are supposed to get together for supper tonight, but nothing definite, yet, as to whether it's here or at his place. Other than that, I'm just recharging my batteries.

I'm actually in my third year of college right now... math ed it is. So count me in as quite interested... and put the math posters back up! :D

Thanks, I appreciate it.
Dinner should be fun! If it actually happens, that is. You'll have to let me know how it goes.

*giggles* Welcome, jen. And sure, we can keep some posters up in the corner, away from the souls afraid of the stuff.

I'm in my sixth year teaching now, and I can't think of a more rewarding career field. I hope you'll love it as much as I do! :rose:

I do so far... let's hope it stays that way. :) Everything I've done in the field has been amazing, but I've been really lucky with my supervising teachers.

That always helps, that's for certain. The other thing I was blessed with was getting a job in a good district. When I graduated, I didn't even bother applying anywhere I didn't want to be... interviewed the last half of June that year and was happy to accept the job I did. Definitely lucked out in that... had it not fallen through the way it did, I might've had to have applied to bigger city schools later in the summer.
