Change of plans. Apparently the network was concerned about upsetting the “talent.” 😂

MSNBC Has No Plans to Have Ex-RNC Chief on Network
Cable network head seeks to address employee and talent backlash over appointment of Ronna McDaniel as an NBC News contributor

'Short-term almost an employee.' Missed it by ..... this much! :p

I'm sure her resume and Trump's letter of recommendation will land her another spot in the media ... a rising star like her can't be held down.

If a worked for a company that was going to hire a conspiracy lunatic, I’d object too.

He had reason to be miffed. McDaniel attacked the press, gaslit reporters, and participated in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Helluva resume for getting a job in news. Might as well hire that pillow guy lunatic, although I think Fox has him booked as a guest for the next 10 years.

Isn't the news supposed to be for everybody?
Haha!
What a self own!
You cite the Epoch Times!
I can’t think of a better argument for you to install a filtration system onto the drinking water you consume fresh from the internets’ sewer.

It was good while it lasted, but Ronna is a gonner.

She's now seeking to overturn the decision by the hosts on the station to refuse to work with an insurrectionist, maybe she wants the place swept for bamboo fibres.

I don’t think “they won’t hire me because I’m a lump of crap” is the basis for a successful lawsuit.

Failed to have the same problems when MSNBC hired Jen Psaki or Nicole Wallace who sold the lies of a Republican president for an even worse and devastating fate for America, but hey it's only the big orange liar he has a problem with not the other ones in Washington. Then it's pay those liars tons of money for access to the bigger liars.

Um, you might want to consider the differences between all the parties you have lumped together.

Foreign and economic policy decisions vs the attempted overthrow of the United States by a treasonous cabal headed by the corrupt orange traitor, which Ronna McDaniel co-signed, are not in the same ballpark.

Apples to rotten oranges, quite literally.

🤬

How many american servicepeople's lives were lost in Iraq and afghanistan, how much of our taxpayer money was flushed down the toilet for George W. Bush's wars, and Nicole Wallace played as much a part selling us those lies as Rona Mcdaniel did for Stop the Steal, and to my mind for way worse results than J6. Yet I'm supposed to give her a pass because Bush is not as mean as Trump. Trump is a bumbling idiot, Bush and Cheney were way worse.

Now do Jan Psaki.

You are implying that there was no legitimate reason for the U.S. to conduct a military operation to defang Al Qaeda, or to foil the efforts of Saddam Hussein, etc, to control the oil market, as well as ending that evil POS’s regime.

😑

Newsflash:

The U.S. has an agenda, but so does every other country and terrorist organization.

😑

The U.S. capitulating to other countries’ and terrorist organizations’ agendas is NOT an option.

😑

See also:

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and China’s ambitions involving Taiwan.

😑

Again:

Foreign policy decisions and economic policies are not comparable to the corrupt orange traitor and the treasonous cabal engaging in an actual attempt to overthrow American democracy.

🤬

Now do Jan Psaki.

My problem is MSNBC shouldn't have offered her the job. NBC shouldn't have offered McDaniel a job. MSNBC shouldn't have hired Wallace. When they hire people who's only qualification is access to political parties and are at their core propagandists or spin artists like Psaki is it proves toxic to the journalistic credibility of the network.

It's one of the many reasons no one trust cable news anymore.

Um, articulate, connected, former POLITICAL spokespeople make perfectly fine paid POLITICAL commentators on major news networks - when they haven’t engaged in actual crimes, or in an effort to overthrow American democracy.

😑

Can you suggest someone better or more qualified for that rather unique position???

🤔

There was a reason for going after Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, but not to waste 20 years there. Go in after Bin Laden and get the fuck out. None of that nation building regime bullshit. That's only ever touted to make rich Military Industrial ghouls in DC richer. They same ghouls are pushing us to go to war with Iran right now.

Invading Iraq, no. way. I don't care what Hussein was doing, he didn't attack us. He didn't have WMDs. We shouldn't have invaded Iraq under the false pretenses Bush told us.

Ending Hussein's or the Taliban's reign of terror in their own countries is not our responsibility doing what we can to avoid getting involved in a war that wastes American lives and treasure for little gain is. I don't believe we should be the cop of the whole world. We can be leaders of the free world without stepping our foot in every quagmire around the globe.

And you're correct J6 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is not the same, but I think one is worse than the other still.

I disagree. Better analysts would be the actual reporters that cover politics from The Hill, Politico, the Washington Post, The New York Times, The Intercept, The Gaurdian...etc.

What salient commentary do we expect from someone like McDaniel other than the canned talking points we've heard thousands of times already?

There is a global competition for control of natural resources and financial markets. - The invasions and continued operations in Afghanistan and Iraq were predicated on both. - Al-Qaeda attacked the U.S. directly on 9/11, while Iraq attacked the U.S. indirectly by threatening the dollar as the de facto international currency. The military efforts in Afghanistan ultimately yielded SOME positive results (Al-Qaeda seriously weakened, Osama bin laden dead, etc,), but, as you rightly pointed out, not much else in terms of control of natural resources or a permanent shift to a western style democracy. Win some, lose some.

😑

Iraq was actually a fairly successful enterprise in terms of controlling a natural resource and regime change, while simultaneously foiling the efforts of those intent on dethroning the U.S. dollar as the de facto international currency and expanding control of major oil reserves. Win some, win some. - And, yes, there were casualties and great costs, but that must be weighed against the casualties and costs of inaction. (The U.S., is still doing / positioned relatively well overall / comparatively, so it’s hard to totally second guess some of the foreign policy decisions of past administrations)

🤔

A basic reporter will never be an "insider" like someone connected politically. When I think of a top notch political voice on a major news network, I usually think of George Stephanopoulos - the ultimate "insider" (imho).

A basic reporter can also be ignored or played more easily, (imho) whereas a political "insider" can often get privileged access, and is less likely to fall for a political narrative / spinning (again, imho). Top notch reporters and PRINCIPLED political "insiders" work very effectively in concert with one another. Both are fairly indispensable in getting to the most accurate version of the truth, (imho.) - Ronna McDaniel is COMPLETELY UNPRINCIPLED.

There is a difference…

😑

The full blown meltdown by the juvenile on-air “talent” at NBC and the panicked reaction by spineless management and the tiny but loyal MSNBC audience has been entertaining to follow. Fired CBS hack Dan Rather’s defense is especially rich. After all these years he still dreams of repairing his soiled reputation.

Psaki, a professional communications specialist, which McDaniel isn't, hasn't advocated--and participated in--an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States. She aligns nicely with the MSNBC line, and she very likely has brought them additional audience. This, in no way, correlates with hiring McDaniel, who has participated in a coup attempt.

Might have been interesting to see what she said. Maybe stating her position was all an act at the direction of whoever. Making her mad might send her further to the evil speak.
