Peggy Noonan has a decent op-ed today. In a nutshell, Mitts gonna lose becuz he plays well with other children, turns his cheek to the bullies, and has no convictions that stiffen his spine when push comes to shove. 'Obamaloney' isnt how you deal with slander.

In Segue's memoir of Napoleon in Russia, he details how Bonaparte calmly sat his horse while awaiting an avalanche of Cossacks. The French cavalry was off chasing its tail. The first Cossack to reach Napoleon impaled himself on the emporers sword. Others fared no better.

The press will support Obama going nuclear with clear conscience, because Republicans want people to die. If the Republicans try to play as dirty and as low as the Democrats will go, the press will, again, with good conscience start screaming, "See? we told you so..."

Republicans don't want people to die. They just want a country where tens of millions lack health care and die from THAT, washing their hands of the whole thing.

No. What we want is for people to get their priorities straight. Like this: When the income tax refund comes back, and you get 1000s for all those pups you made, use the money for health insurance, fill the pantry with edible food, and buy some decent shoes for the pups. DONT use the money for tats, pot, and a Disney World vacation.

Yes I think people in my income level should pay more. And no I don't think we should pay less while the middle class pays more.

Dear? I know plenty of po peeple who collect 1000s from IRS for their pups. I see the new tats, I know they vacation at Disney World. They get food stamps and use them for steaks, then drive over to St.Pia Zadora for free groceries and electricity vouchers. They do well for trailer trash.

You're arguing in hyperbole. Nobody thinks we need to take care of everyone. But the fact is the private sector no longer provides a sufficient number of jobs that provide adequate healthcare. And the long-standing trend is for there to be fewer and fewer of those jobs each year. There are some individuals and families who legitimately can't afford to pay for their own insurance or cash for care. That's where I think socialized insurance (not socialized medicine) has a place in America.
