i hope you find what you're looking for. As someone on the other side of the world, timezone is more often than not the biggest wall to finding someone to chat with some regularilty.

So sweet of you to share your thoughts @allegro5star . It is true, but when that spark really happens, we always tend to find a way. When I used to come here long time back, I did find somebody. It might have been short-lived (1 year), we were in separate continents, but we used to connect everyday- in so many ways she brought such joy, presence, caring & love - during one of my most challenging phases of life, was the quiet flame which gave me company and hope. A dear friend - A loving soul who proved that sometimes magic happens in real life too!! I still carry hope for that magic.

You might be correct @VamPal1 . But my experiences has been very different! Yes, I have found beautiful friendships here with women, some short-lived and some which became beautiful genuine friendships/loving connections. Life evolves, situations change and people move on. That is life! I am aware that a lot of people think that this is just a sex site where people come to play and orgasm. Yet there are many who seek connection, value, a genuine spark, and off course sensuality, which is a beautiful outcome when these first three things naturally blossom between two people. I cannot say about Men but yes women are more genuine, grounded, truthful in here. As long as one is authentic, I believe the right person will always arrive! Amidst one of my most depressing phases, I have found support from beautiful souls here. So yes, beautiful miracles can always happen.

I would recommend that you explore the threads you find interesting, and chat with people
Also, dare I suggest, lower expectations - it looks like you’re looking for that one deep connection, whereas the vast majority are here for sexual exploration and general chat
I have heard of instances of what you describe happening, but there are far far more instances of hurt feelings
Just see this as a place to share kinks and other interests

Ultimately, Literotica, by its very nature, isn’t a great place to find love. Not that there aren’t people here looking for that, sincerely.
It isn’t regionalized, so you finding people in your area is a trick.
It isn’t searchable, so you have to just hope you have a match on some basic items
It doesn’t require a profile, really, so you have to invest a lot of time to start an interaction and figure out if this person who writes posts you like is actually someone you’d enjoy spending time with.

And all that makes sense. This isn’t a dating site, and so it doesn’t provide those resources. I know people have had that happen, but those are the exceptions, to be sure.
