To the contrary, I commented on that back in the first page of this thread. It was brief, but more words than zero.

"Personal attacks"? You're reading a great deal into a recycled dad joke.

At the risk of killing the joke by explaining it: "entomology" is the study of insects, aka "bugs". "Etymology" is the study of words. The two words are often confused, giving rise to the pun "bugs me beyond words" pun, which has been around for at least four years and wasn't created with you in mind.

I did modify the wording from "people who..." to "the confusion between...", specifically to make it even less personal. If you still choose to take it as a personal insult, that's on you.

This thread is typical of most AH threads. They rarely stay on topic, but so what? Let them meander long enough, and what's of interest in the discussion comes around.

But if you keep weighing in with invective, with personal attacks and needless accusations of cowardice, it becomes all about you. But we're a tribal lot, with our internal, existing allegiances, and we tend to protect our own.

If you have something purposeful to say, say it, but you might want to read the room a bit better, that's all I'm suggesting.
