It's already disturbing me that a new version of one of my favorite movies "Rollerball" has been made and opens in theaters tomorrow.

I haven't checked enough to see if this is a "remake" or a new concept of the old theme, but judging from the trailers I've seen, I'm not liking it!

Does anyone remember James Caan in the original "Rollerball"?

Looks kinda interesting...

I just saw the commercial for the new remake of "The Time Machine" tonight though... I Have GOT to see that!

Hell yeah I remember it. Fantastic movie!

I'll see the new one - but probably not till it comes out on DVD...

I do have to say that from the commercials it doesn't look nearly as good as the original.

Im gonna see collateral Damage instead.

I will wait til i can find this ne on the internet somewere.
it looks really stupid.

This movie will suck.

Why? Because they convinced Rebecca Romain-Stamos to take off her shirt- AND THEN THEY CUT THAT SECNE!

Why? There's no good reason to cut that sceene! I want boobs!

It looks like your typical action flick. LOTS of action. Zero plot. I may take it in on DVD. I'm gonna watch Black Hawk Down, instead.

the remake and the sequels

Its going to be a big year for movies aside from rollerball ( which is definitly a remake of the james caan flick) collateral damage ( I think the big guy has had his time) and any teen type movie ( I am so sick of seeing that crap). Spiderman, The brotherhood of the wolf, The count of monte cristo, the time machine, donnie darko, and the new Vin Diesel movie triple X (yummy) should be enough to keep us coming back for more. But I'd have to agree most remakes are no good.

That's right, he showed such range in that last crappy movie he did

"Look at me, I am bald and have no inflection in my voice, but I can drive a car while making little to no facial expression. I am dangerous."

Yes Fast and the Furious was nothing more then a Point Break remake on the streets and yes Vin Diesel can act just as well as I can pee standing up but its not really his acting skills that I'm interested in.

Laci's Top 10 movie stars ( In no perticular order)

1. Edward Norton (American History X)
2. Morgan Freeman (Stand By Me)
3. Marlon Brando (The Men)
4. Leonardo DiCaprio (Basketball Diaries)
5. Robin Williams (What Dreams May Come)
6. Billy Crudup (Jesus' Son)
7. Benicio Del Toro (The Way of the Gun)
8. Laurence Fishburne (Othello)
9. Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love)
10. Brad Pitt (Legends of the Fall)

I listed the movies I loved them the best in but they pretty much have done tons of great movies, and no I didn't pick them just because their cute. I mean it helps but hey they also have talent. :D

I agree JennyOmanHill

Rollerball was and is a Classic and I dont like the fact they are doing a remake but then again look at all the songs the NEW bands are re doing YUCK Puff Daddy or P Diddly doing a Led Zepplin song and The Black Crows I think it was trying to remake Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd It makes ya think where the new Generation will end up.

Not all remakes are bad.. In fact, some are better than the original.

Case in point: Dune.

OK...

Admit it, folks. How many of you actually went to the movies last night or see it?

(Sitting down with my popcorn... waiting to hear!):D
