Where do I start???
Is there anyone out there willing to help me learn??
I'm new to this kind of thing but am very interested in learning.
Anyone have instructions or advise to get me started?
How do I get going on role playing on Lit?
Any and all help will be apperciated, thanks in advance people.

read a dozen threads

at least one active one (in the first page)
at least one dead one (beyond page four)
at least one that involves more than 2 people
at least one more of any player you'd like to interact with (you can do this by searching for all posts by user and focusing on those that are on the SRP Board)
any new threads (usually I say less than ten posts)

just to get a feel for how this works, what people expect, and how to begin a successful new thread.

Good luck

Hi

Intriguess is right Zebbi.

You need to check the posts and threads, many are making casting calls. they start off with OOC... which means out of character. Feel free to write in one of the threads that start that way or check it for the person who started it.. they can give you some great advice and insight.

Don't be afraid to talk to anyone that has a thread or idea that you are interested in. I started last month and have enjoyed every minute.

Also in the words of my posting partner : It can be very addicting. PhoenixPrime01. He is so great to write with too.

Welcome and enjoy your adventure in Lit.

Hi Zebbi

I suggest that you start by reading Hecate's guide to SRP, she gives lots of great advice there. You can find the guide on top of every page in SRP.

The rest is all about preferences, you can choose to
- jump into a thread at once or
- visit one of the OOC clubs to get to know a few of the writers or
- pm someone you would like to write with.

What ever way you choose I'm sure you will have a good time here.

Welcome to SRP

Hello and welcome Zebbi. *S
I think it's all be covered already so just Hi and welcome to the Lit SRP family.
If I can be of any assistance please feel free to PM and ask. I'll give you any assistance/advice (good I hope) that I can.
Don't be shy. Find a story that you like, choose a character name, make up a bio to fit the story and post it to any open story as an OOC (out of character) post and ask if the character's acceptable and if you can join in. Bet you'll be welcomed. *S

Zebbie, glad to meet you, dear. I started my first two threads about a week or two ago - it's been such fun I've lost track of time - and I am now involved in three other threads as well.
The advice about reading present threads is good. Actually, I hardly read any before I plunged in, but I had some definite ideas and areas that I was eager to explore.
Like phoenix, I would be glad to help in any way I can. It truly is addictive.....be sure you are ready to commit increasing amounts of time!!
Peace, love, good vibes.....:rose:
