"I guess Alex can take me home, he knows where it is. Would you mind driving my dad's car, its automatic, he would just kill me if I left it here." She turned to Benji. "Theyre going to be asleep by now, they know our gigs run late sometimes. I can just walk on in. Plus its a big house, they wont hear me coming home at all." Picking up the last of her things she headed out the back towards the car, greatly relieved that she was going to be able to finally end the night.

*Thump*

His heart skipped a beat. Allison flashed him a smile of which he had to figure out the meaning. But he cared little for that meaning when Nadia said he could drive her home. Alex' blush spread over his cheek bones and he stuttered. "Y-yeah, that's f-fine. I'll take you h-home." Allison, she knew it! She knew what Alex felt for Nadia. How she had found out, it was a mystery. Probably a girl's eye. No matter, he got to drive Nadia home. He quickly finished loading stuff up, adding his own gear to it. Wouldn't want to leave his priced ESP standing there.

Alex thought he wouldn't be a gentleman and offer Benji a ride. He knew that much. Sorry for the kid, he was fine and all, but he might just screw things up a little. Alex took the keys, before opening the door to Nadia. "You look tired, I won't take any detours."

Alex smiled, his smile mixed with a flash of concern for the girl. But if he got her home safely, he would've kept his promise and he could sleep tonight. He offered Benji a hand, smiling at him with respect. "Thanks man, for the bar fight I mean. It was just what I needed." And then he turned to Allison. Alex gave her a short hug, just so he could tell her something quietly. "You know of my crush, and I thank you for it."

He slowly got into the driver's seat, turning the ignition before closing the door. Alex checked the lights, the hand brake, and made sure the car was set to drive. He wasn't quite used to driving an automatic, but he managed. Alex waited for Nadia to finish and give him the signal to go.

Allie smiled at Alex's whispers. Well, she had done her good deed for the night okay, maybe two good deeds because she could've let whatever Nailz had plan occur but she didn't. Allie turned to Benji, "Sorry about that, its just...it's complicated." She paused for a minute, "I guess you'll just have to entertain me." she smiled at him flirtaciously hoping to god, Max was watching.

Benji shook Alex's hand. He was a good guy and Benji liked him from their first short conversation. He watched as he helped Nadia into the car and then hugged Allie. Alex got in the car and started it up. Benji banged on the hood. "Drive careful, man." He waved a little wave as they pulled away. Standing in the dark parking spot he looked over at Allie. "So, now what?" He asked her as the light flashed in her eyes. She gave him a pretty little smile.

She continued to smile at Ben, "We could...dance? Do you like to dance?" She dragged him back inside, still hoping that Max would see them together. "I loooooove to dance." Allie said as she twirled her red hair around her fingers giving yet another innocent sweet smile.

Nadia climbed in the passengers seat of the car and sighed. "Go when you're ready," she said. "And thanks, I really appreciate this. I know its out of your way." Then it dawned on her. "Shit how are you going to get home? How did you even get here? Did you bring your car?" She felt like such and ass for asking him to take her home. She adjusted her chair so she could lean back, placing her hands on her face. Covering her mouth, she yelled. "Sorry. I'm a mess tonight. So again, how are you getting home?"

She thought that she could offer to let him crash at her place. Her parents really wouldnt know. Even though they didnt have any extra guess rooms, the house was big enough to where you could avoid people for days in it. Plus tomorrow they had things planned and were going to be gone early in the morning, even before the time she would normally wake up. But inviting him to her house was a bit too much for her. Plus, he probably didnt want to, seeing how crazy she was acting tonight.

Alex drove away slowly, making he sure he didn't bump into anything. He knew Nadia's father of reputation only and Alex never tried to get on his bad side. The car drove excellent, the big SUV cornering perfect. They stood waiting for the lights before Alex answered to Nadia. He smiled at her appreciation and shrugged at her concern. "It's okay, I got a lift from Max." The lights turned green and he continued the way home.

"It's okay, I'll walk that bit. I don't really care. I just want to get you home safely. After what happened tonight... I mean, I even got into a fist fight. How fucked up is that?" Alex' voice died away, should he tell her Emily was responsible for all of this? Well, she was in fact. Beginning with her stupid heckling act and then the spiked drink, and he could blame the fist fight on her too as an indirect consequence. He just hoped the cops wouldn't show up tomorrow morning. Alex steered the car around the corner, the silent streets at night empty.

He looked at Nadia, how she was leaning back in her seat, the shape of her face. Alex half-noticed her clothing. Who cared anyway, it was about the girl in the clothes he had a crush on. He softly rested a hand on her shoulder, smiling vaguely. "It's okay, don't worry about. We're almost there, so... We'll see what happens." Alex hoped for it, he hoped Nadia would invite him in. Then again, she probably just wanted to sleep. Alex took his hand back, taking the steer in both his hands again. He sighed deeply...

"Well. I mean. It's really fucking late Alex, you shouldnt have to walk home. I would feel so guilty if something happened to you." She looked at his face while he concentrated on the road. "If you want," she paused. She had to be out of her mind. "If you want, you can spend the night at my house. I'll give you a ride back to your place in the morning. And dont think I'm tying to be a creep or anything, I just dont want you to be walking this late alone." Not wanting to hear the awkward silence as he responded she asked, "You got into a fist fight? I've never ever seen you get mad before, what the hell happened?"

Benji caught Allie up as she dragged him toward the dance floor. The juke box had kicked on and some sappy slow song was playing. He put his arms around her waist and took her to the middle of the floor and began to wave back and forth with her. She leaned into him, swaying against him. He sighed a little, glad to feel something a little less high energy for a change. He hoped Nadia was shaking the effects of the E by now and that Alex could hang in there with her if anything happened. He laid his cheek against Allie's red hair and closed his eyes.

Alex bit his lip, checking the speedometer. He wasn't driving too fast and the only other thing he had to do was to hold the steering wheel. His eyes simply gazed over the road. She had said it. She had said what Alex had hoped for. He just... He sighed. Alex didn't want to seem like he was taking advantage of Nadia.

"I..." He stopped for another set of lights. The street was completely empty save for them and these were the last lights before they reached the last part of the way to her house. They were almost there. Nadia didn't seem to like an awkward silence, neither did he. So he was happy she continued to talk. He avoided her offer, Alex couldn't find the right words to say. But hell, it wasn't that hard now, was it? Yeah, sure, if you really want me to. Come on, say it!

For a moment there was an awkward silence, the sound of the engine the only thing they heard. Alex stared out over the road as they entered the street leading up to Nadia's house. He finally answered her, summoning up the courage to speak. "Yeah... Benji and this guy were fighting and his friend came over. I don't know why, but I just jumped in and punched the guy in his stomach."

Alex' fingers gripped the wheel tighter, the skin on his knuckles red and small wounds dotted them. "He got me a few time, but I just... Well, let's just say I won. I'm not really that proud of it." Alex stopped the car in front of Nadia's house, contemplating weather or not he should steer the car up the drive way. He bit his lip in silence, Nadia's offer still spooking around in his head.

As Allie slow danced with Ben she kept her head in a spot where she could see around the club. Where in the hell was Max? This was useless if he wasn't even there watching! Was he watching? Maybe in a corner where she couldn't see him? Just thinking about that made her heart flutter for a second...until she pushed those thoughts away.

Who cares if he's watching me or not?!

Allie settled in against him. He was beginning to feel like he might have been accepted into this group, sort of. He only wished he had taken a better shot with Nadia. God, it had been so long since he had been around anyone as innocent as she was. Living on his own so long had given him insight into many things. Innocence was a rare commodity in his world. Maybe he could get her attention, someday, somehow. He pulled Allie closer to him and turned her in circles, his breath in her hair, he let his hand slip a little further down.

Allies eyes widened, was his hand moving further down her body? Normally, she would've freaked out, bitched him out, then told the security guards he was trying to rape her in public no less!! That never happened but it was a great excuse to be a bitch. Sadly, Allie was trying to get Max's attention wherever the hell he was so she didn't reprimand Benji about his hand. Instead she whispered in his ear, "You're a good dancer."

"You're a good dancer." She whispered in his ear. He let his hand rest on her hip as they made lazy arcs on the dance floor, suddenly in the middle of a crowd that had joined them. "Thanks." HE told her. "You're not bad yourself. Tell me how long you've known Nadia." He couldn't forget the girl.

She was beginning to recognize the houses they were driving by, knowing they were almost at her house. She heard Alex's story about the fight at the bar, wondering how she managed to miss all of that. As the car came to a stop at the front, she looked at him again.

She took a deep breath, and asked again. "You know, it's really up to you. I wont bite, or kill you in your sleep. I promise. You are going to have to sleep in my room though. We dont have any guest bedrooms or a couch you can crash on." The thought of someone sleeping in her bed with her made her blush. She had never slept with anyone before. "I'm not sure if I snore or not, but you can just punch me in the stomach if I do, I'll take the hint." The last statement was meant to lighten up the mood a bit.

She was worried that he would say no. She didnt know why. She never really cared before. She must still be under the effects of the drug.

Alex drove the car up the drive way. He turned off the ignition and handed Nadia the keys. He was looking down to the now unlit speedometer. There was another silence between them. Alex smiled at her comment. It was the final push he needed in his decision.

He looked at Nadia with a vague, almost tired smile. "Yeah, I guess I'll stay with you then." His voice was soft and his eyes gazed at hers. Even in the nightly hours she was looking cute. Then he realized what he was doing and he looked away. He was glad it was dark, else Nadia might have seen his deep blush. "Shall we...?" He asked quietly, not sure as what to do with his hands. Alex fidgeted with his fingers, rubbing his knuckles.

"So... You sure you don't bite in your sleep?" He smiled, as he slowly opened the door. He decided it would be best to at least do something, not just sit and wait around.

Allie returned her attention back to Benji, instead of desperately looking for Max. "Um, I've actually known her since highschool. We used to be in Chaotic Frenzy, if you didn't know. Not alot of people do except for maybe hardcore fans.." Allie paused for a second, "Well, we had creative differences the lead singer and I...." her voice trailed off, "but yeah thats how long I've known Nadia."

She laughed as she made her way to the back of the car. "Well I've never slept beside anyone before, and I've never woken up with bite marks on my arms, so I guess yes, that means I'm sure." She opened up the hatch and peered in. "We just have to take your stuff out and lug it up into my room. My drums can stay in there, its not a big deal." She looked at him as he started to unload the things out the back of the car.

Walking away from him and closing the trunk door, she opened the front door to the house and moved her finger over her mouth, telling him to be quiet. Deactivating the alarm and then reactivating it, she motioned for him to follow her upstairs. She led him to a door with a giant star on it, her named imprinted on the star with glitter. Opening the door to her room, she opened up her arms, as if going TA-DA, but without saying a word. Her room wasnt as girly as she always thought it was. Just the canopy bed she never had the heard to get rid of. Her room was light blue, with light wood flooring and furniture. Band posters and such decorated the walls along with her bookcases. It was an average teens room.

Once he stepped inside she spoke. "We can talk as long as we're in here and the door is closed. The sound doesnt carry very far from here and my parents are heavy sleepers. Dump your stuff where you want it and get comfortable." She reached into a drawer and pulled out some clothes. "I'm going to go change. I'll be right back." She turned and walked into the bathroom that was connected to her room.

"Yeah, I heard all about that." The big blowup had happened just before Benji had gone to Oregon. She leaned back to tell him the story. "Listen, enough about them. Tell me about you. Besides singing what do you like to do?" He stroked her lower back waiting on her to fill him in a little more. Maybe he could get his mind off Nadia this way.

Allie smiled flirtaciously, "I was wondering when you were going to ask." She moved closer to him, so that nearly every body part was touching as they danced. "What do you want to know?"

Alex walked as quietly as he could. Which wasn't easy considering the equipment he was carrying. His bass was swung on his back, while the case holding his effects lay on top of his amp which he was lugging behind him. He strained when he lifted the amp up the stairs. His arms were sore when he finally got upstairs.

Alex followed Nadia on tip-toes, but moved to a more easier walk when inside her room. He placed his gear against an open space of the wall and turned around. Nadia's room was nice, not at all what he had expected. In fact, he never knew what to expect with Nadia. Alex sat down on the bed, carefully, when Nadia went to change. Alex bit his lip again, the spot becoming a little sensitive. He looked down at his knuckles, still red with the small wounds. They would heal within a few days, nothing to worry about.

Suddenly he realized he didn't bring fresh clothing or anything like that. That gig was pretty intensive and he had been sweating. Alex cringed, this wasn't exactly the best time for a sweaty shirt. He worried about it, then decided to let it go. Maybe he could borrow something from Emily...

She moved closer to him so that he could feel every inch of her body against his. "I don't know. Do you kiss on the first date? Do you have a crush on someone I should know about? Is there a chance I'm going to get my ass kicked by someone over you? You know, the usual." He knew she wasn't above taking a drink and he was old enough to help her with that one. He leaned his forehead against hers as he asked.

Allie knew she should tell him the truth. She shook her head, what was the point? Max didn't like her, if he did...he sure had a crappy way of showing it. "Yes, no well not anymore, and probably not." Allie said with a smile,"What about you? All of the same questions..."

Nadia came out of the bathroom in shorts and a regular sized t shirt. It was a bit more than what she usually wore to bed but she felt awkward sleeping next to someone in her underwear. She looked over at him, while he was on his bed. "I have some big tshirts and shorts and stuff if you want to change into something more comfortable. You can even shower if you want. I have fresh towels in there."

She walked over to him, and sat down next to him. "Are you ok? You seem kinda nervous and exhausted. "

He laughed at her as she tossed the question back at him. "Lets see. I definitely kiss on the first date, even if it isn't really a date. A crush, hmm..." She had to know he had the hots for Nadia so he just left that out. "No, I don't really think there is anyone who would want to kick your ass over me." He remembered the days when he could have said yes. Shana had definitely been the jealous type.
