Sweet Surrender had just finished there last set at a club they had been booked earlier in the week. Sadly, they had only gotten to sing a couple of songs which sucked, because with only two songs to sing no one could really see the talent that they had.

Unfortunately, another band had been booked for the rest of the evening. Allie sighed, and pushed her red hair out of her eyes. "Great job, girls!" Allie said complimenting her two other band members.

Since they had just formed their band they were still in need of some backup singers and a guitarist. About a year ago, Allie, Emily, and Nadia had been in a band called Chaotic formed by Allie and her (ex) best friend Max, but Max being the egotistical jerk that he was, wanted to hog the spotlight. Sure, she had been able to sing a few duets with him and back up, but she never really had the fortune of doing a solo because her voice wasn't 'as strong' as Marks.

This only caused a riff in the band and in their friendship. So in the end, Allie,Emily, and Nadia left Chaotic Frenzy and started their own group called Sweet Surrender. It was a mixture of all types of music such as Rock, Pop, and sometimes romantic ballads. Yet, they hadn't gotten a contract yet. Sometimes, Allie wondered if it would ever happen.

Allie sighed and walked towards the bar and ordered a drink. Her eyes widened as the door opened and five familiar guys walked into the club.
"You've got to be kiddin me..." she groaned. "Girls, looks like we know why we didn't get more then two sets." she said to Emily and Nadia

OOC: If you'd like to join, please see the OOC or PM me, We need more band members for both groups, some groupies/flings, and love interestes, as well as managers and record company representatives.

Nadia had pulled on her skirt, wanting to cover more of her legs as she sat down on the bar stool. Her blond hair swept across the bar as she looked down into her cup. She really hoped that things with the band would get better. She enjoyed playing her drums and have others to play with was always a benefit.

Hearing Allie say something over the loud chatter caused Nadia to look away from her drink, a virgin strawberry daiquiri. Watching the members of Chaotic Frenzy made her stomach turn over. She didn't hate them, she just wished things would have turned out differently. Nadia often found herself day dreaming that Allie and Max's would get over their differences and they could be a full band again. Very unlikely seeing as how Allie's pride and Max overbearing ego were always in the way.

Her eyes moved towards the ground the moment she thought she saw one of them look over towards them. "Should we get going then" she asked, not wanting to be around if there was a confrontation between the two groups. Looking towards Allie, she could see her staring at them, almost with a loathing gaze. Nadia felt like this might be the beginning of a stressful night for her.

Allie shook her head, "No way! I'm not gonna let them scare us out of here. There's enough room for all of us to be here, besides...why leave when we get free drinks." Allie gave a small shrugged.

The bartender handed her a virgin pina colada and she took a sip, glaring at the band. God, of all the bands to perform here after them, it had to be them! How fucked up was that?! She knew that Max would find some way to rub it in her face but she wouldn't let that get to her.

Allie hadn't realized it, but she had already finished her drink, so she ordered another one. It was a good thing it was virgin or else, she might start getting drunk. She thought.

Nadia sighed as she heard her request to leave shot down. She never did well around situations like these. She watched as the guys started to set up. There was a group of local girls, some that went to school with Nadia, sitting at a table just across the stage. They swooned over her former band mates as if they were celebrities. Rolling her eyes, she turned her gaze back over to her half empty cup.

"It's not like they will serve us alcohol. If you really want some fruit juice we can crash at my mom's. She has gallons of the stuff. I just dont want you guys fighting again, its so stupid." It was really silly when they fought. Claiming ownership of the original band name, saying how Allie stole the drummer, or how Max bribed the guitarist to stay with them. It seemed as if Allie was lost in thought again. Sighing being the only way Nadia really knew how to communicate, she did it again. Getting up from her stool, she grabbed her backpack from the floor. "Im headed to the restroom for a second, let me know if you change your mind."

Alexander went over the set list again and again, remembering each fret and string he should hit and when. It wasn't like it was that difficult, he had the songs hammered into his mind. Covers and original songs alike which he practiced every other day and, when time and space permitted, with the rest of Chaotic Frenzy. And he loved every moment of it. The feeling of playing alone was nice, but when it all came together in a sea of instruments. That was the feeling he sought after.

Of course, he liked to play solo as well. Alex had written a number of songs, but never got around to record them or write lyrics for them. He shrugged it away, the band was more important. Especially now, with every gig they had they were getting this much closer to a record deal. And they all knew they needed a record deal.

As he entered the club, lugging his large (and bloody heavy) amp with him Alex searched through the crowds. Pretty standard crowd, Alexander thought as he set his guitar down backstage. He smiled, this ESP was his pride and glory and he had worked hard to pay for it. And it played like a god. Whenever he got around playing it (which was nearly every day) he fell so much in tune with it, just plain awesome.

He waited for the other guys of the band to set down their stuff. Alex looked into the club again, searching through the crowd for familiar faces. He found several at the bar. The girls from Sweet Surrender were drinking their free drinks. Alex smiled, he knew of the conflict between Mark and Allison. He felt sorry for the both of them, but didn't really have any hope of seeing them reconciled. Mark was just like that. At least he himself wasn't like that. He would be happy to share the spotlight. Especially with Nadia, that crazy drummer girl. Yeah, she was cute... Even so, he liked to make fun of them a little as they weren't a complete group yet. Neither were they, but they only lacked a drummer. Which often came by the dozen.

"Check it out guys, Sweet Surrender at the bar. Wanna show them how a gig is done?"

Alexander, grinning, turned to his bass, unpacked as he felt a slight blush on his cheeks as he thought about Nadia. He blamed it on the warmth of this place. He was sure he would get a lot warmer when they got to playing their songs. As he slid his bass out of the gig bag he felt its assuring weight and slung it over his shoulders. It felt good, nice and low, but not too much. Sort of medium height so he could reach the entire neck. He played a few scales, warming the tendons in his fingers before stretching his neck and shoulders a bit.

He placed his bass back in the gig bag and continued with his amp and pedals, connecting the cables, batteries, and making sure all the settings were perfect. When he was ready, Alexander plugged in and waited for his band mates to finish.

"Let's get this going."

Allie sighed as she took a second to watch Nadia go to the bathroom. She wasn't planning on fighting with the guys, as long as she wasn't provoked. Besides, it was always Max and his ego who started things. She took another sip of her drink. It was true, that they wouldn't be getting alcohol but....she didn't want Max to think she was intimidated or anything....not that she cared what he thought in the first place. Bastards

She sat there, silently contemplating her next move and what club to perform at next, with a real gig and a real pay. That would show those idiots who was the best band. She continued to glare at her rival group, especially Max.

Nadia could hear Alex's bass guitar in the bathroom. 'They really should sound proof this shit' she thought to herself. Finding a spot of on the floor that looked relatively clean she opened up her backpack and pulled out her journal. She mused over how she kept such a giant bag for such a small item, but she treasured it.

Opening it, she grabbed a pen from one of the bag's pockets and started jotting things down. Not much of a lyricist, she did find that some times writing out her stress helped her.

The curtains finally lowered
The music starts to fade away
But I still have that beat in my sole
My love
And the sway of the jazz they played.

Do you remember that song
My dear
Let's make that one ours
Since now that we part
Sweet love
All we'll have is that guitar

She took a deep breath and closed her book. She would work on the rest later. Putting her things away she got up from the floor and walked over to the sink. She pulled her hair back, reaching for the hair band on her wrist. Her soft complexion made her look sick, she thought. Hating the thought of make up, she just glossed her lips and walked out. Allie, still at the bar, looked even more mad than when she had left. Yea, they were going to sit here through the whole show.

Allie continued to glare but cleared her throat, "Well, I guess we shouldn't be rude we could at least say hi to them right?" She glanced over at Nadia, "don't worry, I won't start anything...." she reassured her friend. "I'll be a good little girl."

She walked onto the stage, "Hello Alex." She said brightly, of all the guys Alex was her next best friend and she certainly didn't hold a grudge towards him because of Max. No, the only person who got punished for his stupidity was Max. It didn't really even bother her that Alex liked to tease them about not being a complete band because neither were they plus, she always teased back.

Alex looked up from his bass when he heard Allison's voice. He never got used to calling her Allie, it just wasn't the name he had attached to her. Smiling at her, Alex crossed his arms over his bass. "Hi there, Allison."

After the split up (of which no one could really stop talking) Allison remained a good close friend of Alexander. He knew of her capabilities and every time they met up he had this vague sense of respect for her. And that same feeling of disrespect again Max. Not that it got in the way of Chaotic Frenzy or his friendship with Max. Of course not, it would be foolish. Chaotic was by far one of the best bands in town and if he was kicked out... Well, let's just say Alex would have to play with 10-year olds...

"So, you came to see how we do gigs? How the real pro's handle it?"

Inside Allie was fuming but she just smiled and said in a teasing tone, "Aw, I know you're a pro Alex but your lead singer needs to work on his notes a bit better. I think he was a bit off the rhythm last time."

She still held her sweet smile and would've said something more like how technically, they couldn't be pros unless they had a recording contract and a manager, which she knew they didn't since Chaotic Frenzy still performed at the local clubs, but held back because of her promise to Nadia.

Nadia groaned and then smirked. "You know, for someone that never says anything, you sure do make a lot of noise," Max would say. Allie left the bar with such confidence in her strut that Nadia felt a bit more than sluggish as she dragged herself over there. She wasnt too sure if Allison was going to live up to her promise of behaving. Has Allie ever behaved, really? She almost stopped walking, trying to remember a time when Allison didnt let her smart mouth get the best of her, but Alex's voice brought her back to reality.

Finally making it up to the stage, Nadia feigned a smile and nodded her head as a greeting, letting Allie do all the talking for the both of them.

Alex grinned at Allison. He knew from the way she was smiling that she actually wanted to say something completely different. It would be best to just stray of this topic for now, Alexander didn't want to cause any fights or arguments between Allison and Max. Hell, if it was up to him, they'd be all playing together in a big band or something. But it wasn't up to him, so Alex just did what he did best. Play bass and stay with his feet firmly on the ground. "Yeah, I know. Max isn't completely perfect."

He smiled again, looking past Allison. Alex saw Nadia coming up to the stage. "So... How's the rest of Sweet Surrender doing? Like, you and Nadia...?" Alexander felt the same blush from moments ago coming up, staining his cheeks.

Allie knew that Max wasn't perfect. She had always told him that but of course that was something he begged to differ on, especially when it came to his 'perfection' with music.

"We're doing fine..we just finished a set of our own." She didn't want to mention that it was only two songs. "But, yeah you show us how pros work a stage..." she couldn't help it and so she continued on, "make sure to give your lead singer a few tips too, Alex."

She walked off stage with a smirk. Oh, that felt good! Besides, she hadn't really started a fight, she walked away before a fight could get started. So, in her point of view Allison had kept her promise to Nadia.

As Allie walked back over to the bar, Nadia wondered what had just happened. She had to learn to pay attention when others around her talked. Looking back up at Alex, she smiled sheepishly and waved. Mouthing "Good luck," she scurried back to her chair. Making sure to pull down her skirt, which she hated Nails for making her wear, she sat down, and turned her gaze over to the stage.

"Thank you," she whispered over to Allie. She appreciated that Allison bit her tongue, saving both of them, hell, both bands, public embarrassment. She saw Chaotic Frenzy almost ready. Max doing his regular thing of talking to audience as his band got set up. Not that there was much setting up to do, with just two people playing guitar. Nadia softly massaged her arm as she remembered how heavy her drum kit felt the first time she had to unload it from the back of someone's truck.

Emily aka Nailz was at the bar flirting with the bar tender as she sipped a bottle of Jack Daniels when she noticed Chaotic Frenzy arrived. She didn't have too much beef with any of them for she was usually easy to get along with, cause usually she is filled with booze or some other form of recreational drug. She didn't have a particular crush on anyone one member of Chaotic Frenzy and resisted the urge to jump on any of them while they were all in the same band, so it wouldn't cause any turmoil, but now since they were a separate band, she figured any of them were fair game, but she wouldn't openly flirt with any of them openly at least not in front of her band mates for the tensions between the bands. She walked over smiling Whats up how it going with you guys?"

Alex was quite conscious of his blush when he made eye contact with Nadia. He waved back at her when she waved at him, thanking her for the good luck wish. He knew he was staring when she walked away. He knew very well that he shouldn't. And as such Alex looked away, feeling a little embarrassed by his staring.

As Max was talking to the crowd, like his usual front man attitude required, Alex played a low bass line. He kicked his stomp box on, distorting the sound of his bass with a nice rumble. Alex just improvised along a scale, waiting for the other members of the band to finish. And while he was waiting, he was looking through the crowds and let his eyes fall on Nadia from time to time.

"Nothing really. Allie insist we stay and watch their sets. You know, same shit, different gig." Nadia looked over to Nailz who never really seemed like she really gave a shit as to what Nadia was saying. Frowning, she let her eyes roam the room. The crowd seemed to get quieter as the familiar sound of Alex's guitar started to hum between the bar's walls.

"Have you made any new friends yet?" Nadia had no idea why she even bothered talking to this girl. They were like polar opposites but Nadia hated awkward silence more than she hated talking. As she waiting for a response she looked again towards the stage. She thought she saw Alex looking at her, not that it really mattered. He most likely was just looking in her general direction. She shouldnt get ahead of herself into thinking anything other than that.

Allie sat there sulking, she knew that Chaotic Frenzy was going to be good. Why did she even bother forming a new band? There was no way in hell they were ever going to beat them. Max's vocals were to die for, Alex was hot on the guitar, and that new guy they had hired as their keyboardist was pretty good too.

"Ughhh, what are we doing here?" She muttered more to herself then to Nadia and Nailz.

"This was your idea. You're the one that always wants to hang around. Just make up with him so we can get over this." Nadia was trying, once again, to have them make amends. She knew her efforts were in vain though. She heard Max's voice starting off, always so melodic. "You know, you sound just as good as he does. I'm sure we'll get back on our feet in no time."

She waved at the new guy in the band, wondering how he felt coming into a shit ton of drama. Max lead the audience into a song she was already too familiar with, and had to hold back her desire to sing along, for Allie's sake.

Allie scoffed at Nadia's remark. "I know it was my idea.. I was just hoping..." that Max would apologize she thought, "I was just hoping Max would screw up." She said turning her back to the band. It figured that Max would sing the song she had written, amongst fighting for the name Chaotic Frenzy before leaving the band, she and Max had also fought over who got to keep which songs.

Max had argued that she wasn't the only one who wrote the songs he did to and true, he had helped by inspiring her, okay well in reality it was based on a very vivid dream she had of him one night, but she lied and said it was something he had said to Alex about his latest fling. Therefore, Max had told her that because the song was written about him, he should be the one with rights to sing it.

What a bunch of bullshit!she thought, trying to ignore the music that was playing. She glanced over at Nadia and saw the urge in her eyes. She sighed, "Go ahead and sing it..." Allie said

Emily could feel the tension in the air and really didn't want it escalating more. She placed her arms around the her band mates trying to simmer the situation.

"Hey hey relax Allie, Nadia, this is rock and roll, we're suppose to be having a good time. It's tempers flaring up the reason we are in this mess in the first place am I right?"

Allie nodded and forced a smile, "Yeah, you're right Nailz." She ordered another virgin pina coloda and began to flirt with one of the guys who seemed to be staring at her the whole time she had been sitting there. She was not going to let Chaotic Frenzy ruin her night. At least, she would try not to let him...them.

Nailz patted Allie on the back grinning. "Thats the fucking spirit, babe." She then picks up her bottle of JD and turns to the crowd standing up on the bar shouting. "WHOS HERE FOR SOME FUCKING ROCK AND ROLL?"

-He looked to the band of sweet surrender after walking in with his bags he stood by alex and looked to the girls-"Been a while how you been doing?"-he said as he kept his bags by him-"The tour going well"-He was still a virgin tour wise and sex wise but he was friendly once you got to know him shy at times he knew he had his friends by him sometimes?- "Can i buy any one Drink"

Nadia almost died in her chair. She wanted to pull Nailz from the top of the bar and duct tape her lips shut. Seeing this as a bad time to make an exit, she just lowered her head and hoped to all hell that no one brought some attention to the meek girl sitting beside the boisterously loud band mate.

Nadia saw Leon trying to speak to the girls but couldnt make out a word he was saying by the miniature riot that Nailz had started.
