I'm thinking about going to the beach and watching it.

Anyone else on the U.S. east coast staying up to watch it?

(I know it will only be a few seconds long but I'm curious.)

I thought you all called it the shore?

What sort of rocket are we launching?

I live so close to the shore that I just call it the beach. :)

It's the LADEE rocket to the moon. I'm having trouble posting links right now....

No worries i found it on google. Looks interesting, i wonder if there is a live feed somewhere?

Jealous if you have clear skies to see such a thing. Seattle is one giant, fucking cloud cover atm.

Found one........I didn't know they launched rockets from Virginia. Learn something new everyday.

I totally enjoyed the light show last night, thunder not so much.

When every friend from Mill Creek to Fall City to Ashford to Olympia is bitching about their dogs and cats freaking out, you know it was a big ol' thunderstorm. What was so weird about this one is that it lasted more than 24 hours. I don't ever remember this many or this duration of storm cells ripping through the region.

I don't remember any that lasted that long before either. I heard on the news there were like 6000 lightning strikes, which sounds amazing to me.

No dogs or cats, but my 4 month old eyes would get so huge evertime there was a thunder clap!

I saw it! We didn't go to the beach, but I saw it clear as day from my apartment. It was pretty cool!

I watched it (the majority of it, obviously).

I was thrilled; the implications of this launch are far-reaching and far more impactful than most people realize.

God damnit, I love this country (that is to say I love American engineers).
