WTF?

The Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame is BS!

The left out The MOODY BLUES?

CHICAGO?

NEIL DIAMOND?

PAUL SIMON?

I call shenaningans!

the moody blues are cheesy and pretensious, chicago has like three good songs and they're mostly sappy pop, neil diamond is barely rock as well, but paul simon i kinda dig that even though i wouldn't really call him rock either.

Dude...fucking RUN DMC is in it.

because they started that whole rap/rock fusion thing that a lot of moronic white kids liked for awhile there even though i thought that combined with the boy band revival and the ascendancy of the dark mouseketeers of the apocalypse it was one of the worst things to happen to popular music ever and is a big reason that the recording industry deserves to die a painful death.

But, in reality, BLONDIE started that.

She is in the RnRHOF, rightly so.

Diamond and Simon were the rock of their day though and both have made huge contributions to music. They deserve to be there.
You are totally right about Moody Blues and Chicago. Way overrated.

Run-DMC definitely deserves to be there. Hell, they deserve it just for helping to get Aerosmith back on their feet. Their cover of Walk This Way helped bring them back into the spotlight and push Permanent Vacation. Of course Aerosmith went on to get all pussified after Angel became a hit. Damn near everything was ballads after that. Fuck that. Get back to rockin' you old bastards!

i like neil diamond, but i still have a hard time thinking of him as rock and i know i'm not alone. honestly, i have no idea what i'd label his music, but rock just doesn't feel right to me.

You're right about it being hard to label. It doesn't quite fit rock or pop or country. It sure is easy to listen to though.

Moody Blues has a couple of classic tunes, but yeah, not really worthy of being in the Hall of Fame.
