James Comey, head of the FBI was fired by Trump for daring to investigate links between him and Russia.
Congress ordered that Comey's successor Mueller continue the investigation. Trump and his cultists obstructed that investigation to the extent that it was inconclusive but indicated collusion and interference in the democratic elections, with Putin assisting Trump to become president.
Trump lied, saying that the report had found 'no collusion'.
Putin had said years previously that he would defeat the US from within. He succeeded.
