GRRRrrrrrrr!!!
Idiots!

Running in the street. At night. on the snow. dressed in black. No lights or reflectors.

Stoooopid!

Just go shovel your walk for exercise.

Beep, beep!

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

yes, i was tempted to omit the word "road" just for that reason.

They tend to act annoyed if you DO "beep" even gently.

The worst part is that when you run them down (and back over them a few times) YOU are at fault!

No, no. It was necessary.

That's why I just knock them into a snowdrift - it's a soft landing and the snow helps keep the swelling down.

I DO enjoy knocking them down, but have yet to experience the swelling! You musta hit TWO!

I nearly made a speed bump out of a Goth chick the other night.

Walkin' down the middle of the lane and it's pitch black. Prolly jacked up on somethin'.

If I didn't have my runnin' lamps on she'd have been road pizza.

You thought her face was white before? :D

We DO have sideWALKS. And on our street they are cleared (of snow).

But WHAAAAAA! it is harder on our shin splints to run on concrete rather than ashphalt. We cannot run four abreast and gossip if we are on the sidewalk.

Oh... we run AGAINST traffic, so we can see on coming cars and get out of the way!
(GREAT! that will just increase the impact velocity!!!!!!!!! MUuuyYYHHAHAHAHAH!)

I think I'll get me some of them nifty Ben Hur Chariot race hubcaps!

Who ever decided running was healthy for you?

Maybe that's it...? It isn't about HEALTH.
It has it's inherent hazards, but isn't really a "daring" sport... not an X-sport....
so...... "why don't we do it in the road? No one will be watching us. Why don't we do it in the road?" (The Beatles)... not risky ENOUGH? at NIGHT!! On ice!!! No lights!!!

This must be the US winter equivalent to our summer dickheads-on-pushbikes-with-surfobards-strapped-to-the-back. It's really kind of them to add the boards - makes a bigger target.

Excellent!
Some of those marathoners are REAL skinny... snap like twigs!

Yes, but the crunch under the tires is not nearly as satisfying as one might think.

How true. Far more enjoyable to hear the treble note of the fender hitting and swatting them and sending them flying. And if you can time it just right to the beat of the music, well, it's glorious.

You need a brush guard. Or, in this case, a "runner" guard. :D

Didn't they calls those things on the front end of locomotives cow scoops or something?

Cow catchers.

When I worked for the railroad out west everyone that worked for it had a freezer full of moose meat. They'd come onto the tracks to get out of the snow. :(

If I didn't know better I'd say you have something against us Goths...
