Road Kill

Since your link leads to the comments and not the poem, I'm assuming you're displeased with the anonymous comment. Yes? So, about the comments:

I have just read the poem. Good poem, not what I'd call fluff, certainly not a zero.

The anon comment was not attacking the poet. The comment was simply stating that person's opinion.

There is nothing wrong with anon comments. We all have usernames here, and that makes us all anon. Many readers who leave comments may not be registered, which makes them anonymous.

Comments like "worded manure" are uncalled for. Just because someone doesn't like a poem, it does not make their comment manure!

No, I am not the anon commenter. I like the poem just fine and dandy.

the anon comment, was not making anything beyond a cursory comment (i.e.) fluff and then left a zero. I hate that on two counts, the gutlessness of leaving a name, and no real comment outside of the fact that he is a hunter. The "worded manure" I assume refered to that comment.
My score 100 was upped (I feel it should have been a 75)
If I see nonsense like that; an automatic counter of a 100.
Yes certainly not fluff, certainly not a zero.

Thanks for taking up for me

Each year there are over 65,000 car/deer accidents in Michigan alone, (See: http://www.michigan.gov/msp/0,1607,7-123-1593_3504-95455--,00.html ) so I just rolled my eyes at his comments. I wish he would come and have a talk with the deer that keep jumping out in front of me when I'm driving and let them know that they're too smart to be in the road in the first place. LOL! He might be a hunter, but he obviously doesn't know what deer are like. I feed them in the winter, so herds of them come to my yard. Sometimes I'll walk out my front door and they will run a few feet, turn around and snort at me and stomp the ground defiantly. They are not the sweet little bambies everyone thinks they are.

We also had a deer/bicycle collision in our town last year! LOL! The poor kid was riding his bike to school when he scared up a deer and it ran out in front of him. The deer got tangled up in his bike and left it a mangled mess.

But enough about deer....

I do appreciate your taking up for me. :)

Someone else made the comment and called it worded manure. I agree that not many of us like a zero with a comment that doesn't really state why it's fluff. But at the same time, I find these defenders of poets, who leap forward with "worded manure," just as distasteful. Some of these "defenders" trash anyone who makes a less than praiseful comment. It's as though they're trying to be the newbie poets' hero or some nonsense. "Let me step into your manure and river dance it all over the dang place. There! There! That's what I think of your word manure! Now, someone get me a hose for my shoes. Please?"

I agree, BluePoet: anonamouse' noble cause is entirely uncalled for. Stick to the poem, AM. You are making the cumulative score the issue, here, when we have ridden, beaten and exhumed that horse enough.

Curiouswife is certainly capable of deciding for herself which comments carry merit.
