After listening to the testimony and the sentencing guidelines today....the prosecution didn't make enough of it's case and the facts don't seem to support a conviction.

I'd be shocked for a verdict other than aquittal at this point. It doesn't change how I feel about it ...he should not have been there and two folks are dead because of his stupid decisions and he will have consequences outside of legal ones for his lifetime. Very sad indeed...a no win for anyone.

More violence guaranteed. It is what this country wants. It is what this country deserves

So despite the facts you feel he's guilty why??

Why should he have not been there? Violent rioters right to be violent pieces of destructive shit supersedes other citizens right to exist??

LOL

No, K Rittenhouse wins bigly.

Too bad for your terrorist pedo comrades.

BLM/AntiFa already making threats..... and you know blue cities and states will encourage/cover for it with full media support.

Yup.... it's exactly what blue shit holes deserve. :D

None of what happened is his fault. He had just as much right to be there as anyone else did. He had an absolute right to use deadly force when he did. The much vaunted illegal gun charge has been dropped. The only question now is will he get a fair hearing from an intimidated, unsequestered Jury and a judge who have both been threatened with death?

That the prosecution went for the murder charge should tamp down the response to the verdict from the street a bit. If it hadn't, the street would have rioted more than it will, I think, because it didn't try for it.

I think there are charges that should stick and the kid should do some time. I think, though, that the guy who survived but had a handgun should be prosecuted too. I don't remember seeing that he has been.

I think anyone who leaves his/her front porch to go to a protest and takes a lethal weapon with them, no matter what side she/he is on, should be prosecuted and do some prison time to think about what civilized society requires.

Yes, unfortunately this is what I think will happen...more violence on both sides.

Unless all folks stop thinking violence is an answer...we will have a lot more of this.

I'm gonna wait and see what the verdict is before saying more... especially in responding to the morons who view him as some sort of hero. He isn't....just a unfortunate manipulation of a kid.

Hitler youth

But it will only be perpetrated in one direction.

No justice...only creates more violence.

Not getting the outcome you and the comrades want doesn't mean there was no justice.

You pro-rioting terrorist and anti-civil rights folks on the authoritarian left are just on the wrong side of it.

Your inevitable violence over it will just further confirm who the actual scum are.

Emboldened gun nuts...only creates more violence because there is no punishment. It isn't rocket science

Punishment for what??

We don't punish people for defending themselves against terrorist in this country.... you absolute psycho. :D

Watching this closing by the prosecutor... Rittenhouse should be paying him because he's throwing the case. There's no way a trained lawyer can be this stupid.

What case? LOL

They didn't have one to begin with. That's why it looks like he's throwing it.

They got nothing and can't argue why a kid should be punished for defending himself against his well documented attackers.

They were fucked when they charged him on the basis of lefty activist sentiments and twitter fee fees.

Supposedly he has a good trial record. I think the problem here was the explosive political nature of the event, the whirlwind of media attention, caused him to bend against standard practice for calm deliberate investigation before charging. He charged Rittenhouse in just 48 hours, a rush to prosecution in my opinion. Now he's paying for it and will continue to do so on into the future, for now he has attached to his name a haunting celebrity of fiasco and failure.

LOL - Any of the over 100 million US citizens that legally own a firearm for protection or sport.

Several sources have reported anywhere from 8-10% of all Americans have a CC permit.

That should make their pointy heads explode.

They hate the 2A. Why can't we limit 1A rights? They don't need it often.

It's nothing to do with Constitution. One gun for home defense and one for hunting is all one reasonably needs. If you own more than two, then either you're a "gun nut" in the sense of being a collector, or there's something deeply wrong with you.

It has everything to do with the Constitution.

Where in the 2A does it limit how many guns a citizen can "reasonably" own?

Using that pretzel logic how much free speech do you reasonably need?

The question was not about legal rights, it was about what defines a "gun nut."

A person who publishes flat Earth shit or TimeCube Guy physics or climate change denialism is exercising 1A rights, but is still a nut.
