Actor Tony Todd has passed away at the age of sixty nine. Over 200 film and TV credits to his name and in several genres, but he's best known for his work in horror.

Most notable Role was Candyman, starring in the original and two sequels.

He starred in three installments of Final Destination.

Even though it wasn't a big role, I thought he was great as the body guard in The Crow.

Also appeared in one of the Resident Evil films (Retribution?)

But despite being known as Candyman, I think his role in the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead was by far his best.

Tony Todd, Robert England, and Doug Bradley are the three celebrity deaths I most dread.

Sad to see Tony died, I've never seen him be anything but enjoyable as an actor. His characters always shine even when the rest of the movie is shit.

He provided the voice of one of the costumed Villians in the last season of Flash. It was a shock to discover the Villian was a woman without her mask.

Rewatched that the other week and I was just thinking how good he was in that role.

My favourite story about him is the deal he got when shooting Candyman, a $1000 bonus for every bee sting. Not the most fun way to earn $27,000 but at least he got paid for that.
