RIP Phyllis Diller

:rose: She died peacefully in her sleep, age 95.

It's not just one more, you know-- hundreds of people died yesterday, in all sorts of ways. Them might not have been celebrities, but most of them have left grieving loved ones behind.

You're right, of course. I was referring to celebrities and not trying to make light of the deaths of those who are not celebrities, because they are still important. Just not known. And I fear a friend's dad may be joining them in the near future -- my neighbor told me her husband's father is ill with cancer (he's had many types over the years) which has gone to his stomach and lymph nodes. And that will matter a lot more to them than any entertainer.

RIP Phyllis

Now everyone is calling out her comedy as well they should.

But here is a salute for something else she did (and funny in its own b-rated shlocky way)

and yeah baby, I own it!

:( I'm sad to see her gone, but so glad she lived such a rich long live and passed so peacefully.

One of those national treasures.

RIP Phylis Diller

I knew her and her kids growing up - they were a fun family

I wasn't even a teenager yet, but I have never forgotten when I read her book, something about cleaning the house when the kids are still home is like shoveling the walk while it's still snowing.

Probably explains a lot....
