RIP Harper Lee

It's about time. Now the posthumous marketing campaign can rock out. Expect Mockingbird dildos real soon. Has anyone done TO FUCK A MOCKINGBIRD yet? BBCs and lily-white Dixie belles, sure, and the noble White Knight getting lots of ebony pussy. Meanwhile, Scout has a taste of interracial lesbian incest -- that's why Billie Jo jumped off the Tallahachee bridge. Or something like that.

I remember being forced to rad her book in high school. I actually liked it though, loved the movie.

Jesus. Tough crowd.
It's the morning show.

* MOCKINGBIRD DILDOS: Not quite, but gargling produces hits on TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD WITH A DILDO and "Tequila Mockingbird: Zip Tied Titties and Dildo" etc.
* TO FUCK A MOCKINGBIRD: There are U-Tubes on How To Fuck A Mockingbird.
* Don't forget the Truman Capote and Tennessee Williams conspiracy theories.
* It's been over a half-century. Who gives a shit anymore? Except publishers.

She was a trailblazer. A true beacon of morality, justice and equality.
This is very bad news. Rest in peace Harper Lee.

Sad about both Lee and Eco.

I have one friend, however, who will breathe easy not to have to read through any more of my Eco recommendations.

The fuck? Explain your offensive words with facts, FACTS.

Capote lived across the street from her, they were best pals, and she carried his clipboard for him out in Kansas when he researched IN COLD BLOOD. Sure. Her first book is a colossus and best seller, then she did shit for over 50 years afterwards.

Pull your soft head outta your ass.

God only wrote one book
Tell that to Mormons, Rosicrucians, Muslims, Theosophists, Buddhists, Hindus, and the rest of humanity. Oh wait, it's been tried. Usually with lots of bloodshed. Sigh...

"To Kill a Mockingbird" has a curious connection to this site for me. The main reason I started coming here is that they permit incest stories. There's an exchange in the novel, not in the movie, where Scout mentions that incest runs in the family. I had never heard the word until I read the book. Funnily enough, I misunderstood the definition I saw in the dictionary. It said it was "sexual intercourse between two people who are not legally permitted to marry." Either they left out a phrase, or it was on the next line and I missed it: "... because of their family relationship." For years I thought it included mixed-race couples in those places and times where that was prohibited.

Many thanks, amigo!

In my ignorant youthful years I mistook 'bastard' for 'mastiff' and thought I has calling folks dogs. Since incest was a tradition I had no illusions there. Sure, my cousin fucks her brother -- doesn't everyone?

I probably last read TKAM about 50 years ago. Not sure I'd want to again. Much water under temporal bridges -- so much of the literature I consumed then seems to have little connexion with current reality. I won't bother now with most authors popular in the 1950-2000 era. They're as distant as Melville.
