Christopher Lee has died at 93.
He fought in WW2, first as a volunteer in the Winter War and later attached to SOE. After the war he went into acting; he fenced with Errol Flynn in an early role before making his name in Hammer Horror pictures; much later he played Saruman and collaborated frequently with Tim Burton. He had a long-term interest in singing and in his later years he established another career as a heavy metal vocalist and in 2013 became the oldest living artist ever to enter the Billboard Hot 100.
He also wrote a very entertaining autobiography, with a lovely turn of phrase. ("My mother was a beauty, with the sort of classical profile you might see on a coin - and like a coin, she circulated.")
Well, he had a good run.

Edit: here's his version of My Way. The lyrics seem appropriate.
