RINOs CAVE ON OBAMACARE

Don't forget illegal immigration...

...and up next will be acquiescence on the debt limit.

All in a pandering - alas futile - effort to garner 3 million more votes or so in order to "win" the next election...

...because to the Republicans of today, it's not how you play the game - it's all about whether you "win" or "lose".

Which explains precisely why they are now so lost...

from the link....

"A spokesman for Boehner said later the speaker and House Republicans "remain committed to repealing the law, and he said in the interview it would be on the table.""

Look at it this way: Obama's name will be forever be attached to the impending healthcare disaster. His legacy will be shit.

35 million...MILLION...more people now have access to health care.

That's some "disaster".

YOU ARE All SORE LOSERS

33 failed votes to repeal, The Re-election of Obama against the "I will repeal ObamaCare on Day One" guy, the loss of 6 House seats for the Republicans, the loss of 2 Senate seats for the Republicans for politicians running on anti-ObamaCare platforms and a Supreme Court Decision upholding its constitutionality was not enough to end the fucking "repeal it" debate?

For fucks sake, then - what will it take?

The law is not perfect and it would be nice to have some not-Democrats helping to make some progress and fixing it where it comes up short or is not business friendly. So that means dropping the "repeal" bullshit and getting on with dealing with the core issue: healthcare costs are skyrocketing and the congress needs to address it.

Let the republicans vote "present" on every single vote that comes up (I believe Obama set a precedent for that as a Senator). In 4 years, there will be no one but Obama to blame for the every single thing that comes about and the shape that the economy and the nation's people will be in.

They are committed to repealing the law if and only if they are complete and total assholes.

It will have to wait until 2014.

It will have to wait until 2014.

If the House sticks with the "no closing loopholes because that is a new tax" line that Grover makes them parrot, and they spend any time on repealing ObamaCare rather than dealing with the economy then flipping 22-25 seats and taking control of the House is going to be a reality for the Dems in 2014.

The Party of No becomes the Party of No Comment?

Please, do this. Not only will it be great for the country, but it will ensure a tidal wave of Democrats sweeping through Congress.

That's what everyone wants, a Congressman who does nothing but collect a check.

This is a great idea. It's a guaranteed plan for the Democrats to take back the house at midterm elections. Do you work for Karl Rove?

You believe wrong.

That's okay, you're a butthurt rep clinging on to the derp.

Derp on, dummy.

I believe there are many who are already there who do nothing but collect a paycheck....then vote they receive more. They also vote that Obamacare will not be in affect for them.

Obama vote "present" many times as a Senator....no one seemed to notice or care at that point.

Perhaps when they make a mess of things in 2 years or less, the republicans will have no problem being elected to actually do something helpful instead of hurtful.

But what about the BABBIES?

He vote Present, not in the US Senate (which you deceitfully imply) but as an Illinois STATE Senator on "gotcha" anti-abortion bills that Godless fundamentalist derp-lords kept foisting on the legislature. The majority of America has now elected him President twice, so I'd say your situational outrage has had minimal effect on the general public.

Derp.

I have not reason to be deceitful about anything. He was an elected leader, yes it was his state....does not truly matter.

If he was against the bill you mentioned, the perhaps he should have voted no.

I am truly not for the republicans voting present in the House. I think these people have too much integrity to do that. I think they would rather take a stand and be out voted than sit back and watch the country fail without their voices being heard.

I read the GOP lost 11 House seats, so ours is stiil bigger than yours. And money bills originate in the House.

Dream on, Alice. Irrelevant facts always make any argument more plausible.

The GOP is at the tipping point. They can either work with the 52% of the people who voted for Obama, or continue to obstruct and accomplish nothing. After the 2016 election, they can choose to continue to obstruct, or work with the 64% who voted for Obama's successor.

Imagine a GOP house who fucked up so bad, they handed the White House to Hillary Clinton. Romeny pushed the GOP toward the center till their nuts hurt and still couldn't win. Who thinks going back the right is going to appeal to more people?
