Hi! Welcome! Everything is personal preference, but cock rings aren't a big investment, so nothing's lost if you don't like them. We use them sometimes, and my husband says it increases sensation (he also stays harder longer). That's the result I've heard from other people too. The only two cautions: You're not supposed to leave it on for longer than 20 minutes in one stretch and make sure he's well trimmed/shaven around the base.

You could also try an old scrunchie for an approximation of what it will be like. When he's hard, wrap it around the base a few times until it's tight (but not painful) and go to town! Good luck!

As one with extensive experience using cock rings, here are a few tips:

My wife feels no difference in sensation, though I guess you could say she likes the fact that it stays hard a bit longer when I'm wearing a stretchy one (due to the prevention of blood escaping out of the penis). You can wear it just on the shaft, but that's not the most beneficial.

If you're going to try the scrunchy idea while you wait for the mail, make sure you use the right kind...the one that has elastic inside a fabric covering. I would not suggest a rubber band or plain hair elastic...that could be disasterously painful! Click here to see an example of what I'm talking about.

Just to clarify, if it's one of those metal rings (or even leather), if it's around the cock and balls (i.e. not cutting off circulation), then time isn't a factor ... right?
