Right-wing social media is being funded by Russia

The fun part about right wing "news" sites is that a new one pops up every week copying major news sites word for word.

And since the leading line is "we all know...", no single rightie would bother checking where the site originates from.

Russia Russia Russia šŸ‡·šŸ‡ŗ

Before signing up with Donald Trump, former campaign manager Paul Manafort secretly worked for a Russian billionaire with a plan to ā€œgreatly benefit the Putin Government,ā€

MAGAs donā€™t care as long a Putin helps stick it to the libs.

I hope Putin comes out as helping Harris this time around just so MAGAs will finally understand that they have happily been a dictatorā€™s useful anti-American idiots for years now.

I really didn't know how do many people can be so ignorant and gullible. Know what scares me? Is if Lit is a microcosm of society šŸ˜³

They are NOT ā€œgullibleā€, they are COMPLICIT!!! Just like Trump, the MAGAts in congress, and the MAGAts on the SCOTUS are COMPLICIT!!!

America is on the brink of turning into an authoritarian dictatorship due to the actions of right wing traitors.

Side note:

There ARE some far left traitors who are Russian sympathizers as well, but they hate the Democratic Party as much as the right wing traitors: The far left does NOT align with the Democratic Party.

The far left and the far right certainly are NOT the same, but when it comes to Russia, theyā€™re comrades in treason.

It, thankfully, is not. For three reasons.

One, many people are drawn to this forum to spew their venom because they think that on an erotic literature site, anything goes, so you get a far greater percentage of extremists and hate-mongers than the general population.

Two, many of the worst offenders on this forum have multiple screen names, and often have "sock puppet" conversations with themselves, to make their sociopathic views seem more legit than they are.

And three, there have been documented cases of outright Russian bots being outed as such on this forum. For example, one such (former) poster calling himself Renard Ruse would make comments like "The U.S. is supporting OUR ENEMIES (sic) in Ukraine" and making blatantly pro-Putin statements. There have ben a couple others on this forum as well.

And, you must remember, Russia has a geo-political strategy for supporting Trump's candidacy. Trump has pledged to reduce his commitment to NATO and to stop supporting Ukraine. This plays right into Putin's hands of wanting more free unchecked reign in eastern Europe and Ukraine.

Tens of millions of dollars are being paid to conservative influencers to spread disinformation and sow discord.

After the Mueller report that should be assumed and these Justice Department actions will slow Russia down but not stop them. IMHO the Republican party is now the Russian party. I am sure there are a bunch of Republicans out there now that have been co-opted by Russian either by black mail or some other subterfuge.

The Justice Department has charged a Russian-born U.S. citizen and former adviser to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign with working for a sanctioned Russian state television network and laundering the proceeds.

Indictments announced Thursday allege that Dimitri Simes and his wife received over $1 million dollars and a personal car and driver in exchange for work they did for Russia's Channel One since June 2022. The network was sanctioned by the U.S. in 2022 over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

They have a house in Virginia but are believed to be in Russia.

ā€œThese defendants allegedly violated sanctions that were put in place in response to Russiaā€™s illegal aggression in Ukraine,ā€ U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves said in a statement announcing the charges. ā€œSuch violations harm our national security interests ā€” a fact that Dimitri Simes, with the deep experience he gained in national affairs after fleeing the Soviet Union and becoming a U.S. citizen, should have uniquely appreciated.ā€
Robert Meuller's investigation showcased Simes with regards russian interference in the 2016 election and ties to trump's campaign, and also his ties to jared kushner
Before one such meeting, according to the Mueller report, Simes sent Kushner a letter detailing potential talking points for Trump about Russia and also passed along derogatory information about Bill Clinton that was then forwarded to other representatives of the campaign.

The conservative creator Lauren Chen had her contract terminated by Blaze Media on Thursday, a day after she was implicated in a bombshell DOJ indictment alleging a Russian influence campaign.

Chen, a co-founder of Tenet Media, had been collecting checks from the right-wing Blaze Media for creating YouTube content and appearing on BlazeTV, which was founded by the former Fox News host Glenn Beck.

The unsealed indictment alleged that prominent right-wing influencersā€”like Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, and Benny Johnsonā€”were secretly funded by Russian state media employees to create content of their choosing.

That content was allegedly aligned with Moscowā€™s political interests in the states, with a pair of Russia Today (RT) employees accused of shelling out $10 million for favorable pieces of media from the group.

The last Russia Russia Russia effort of the Democrats didn't work and neither will this one.
You are missing the point; it is not the Democrats, it is Russia who is trying to destabilize the election through propaganda...

....the same propaganda that YOU are trying to spread!

And yes, it did work last time; just like in 2016; I suspect that it was in no small measure due to Russian influence that Trump got elected in 2016, and later, Russian disinformation propaganda triggered his followers to attempt a coup in 2020.

It won't work this time, because more people will know it for what it is, and know you for what you are.

How many lit political posters have quoted comments or been influenced by the right wing media funded by Russia?

@Rightguide has:

Hereā€™s a BJ quote Rightguide posted:

Iā€™ve been calling out Rightguide as being an anti-American pro-Russian stooge for some time - hereā€™s proof.
The Politics Board has grown strangely quiet this week. I think itā€™s because the probe into TENET has shut down the pipeline that was keeping the right supplied with fresh grievances to be outraged about. Theyā€™re incapable of forming their own opinions about the issues of the day so without guidance from Russia theyā€™re wandering in the wilderness.

Speaking of Russia-supporting pundits ā€¦

Tucker Carlson blasted for interview with Holocaust revisionist

Carlson, a former Fox News pundit, now hosts ā€œThe Tucker Carlson Showā€ on the social platform X. Earlier this week, he welcomed podcaster Darryl Cooper, and introducing him as the United Statesā€™s ā€œmost important popular historian.ā€

He claimed Winston Churchill was the ā€œchief villainā€ of the second World War but acknowledged Adolf Hitler is ā€œchiefly responsibleā€ for the war that put people in concentration camps. Cooper also made controversial comments about Nazi Germanyā€™s mass murder of Jewish people, claiming it was a result of poor planning for handling people who came under their control.

The problem with Nazis is their poor planning! WTF?

Naturally Elon Musk supported this bull ā€¦

X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared the podcast to his personal account, calling it ā€œVery interesting. Worth watching.ā€

"the Justice Department alleges"
CNN is a propaganda site. Russia's budget is not that big. I don't see them spending that much on US BS during the war when they can spend it on more war. The Russian foreign policy of the last few years is "fuck off America and Europe, we don't care about you anymore. We're kicking you out of Ukraine and then we're done with you."
Utter horseshit.

Russia invaded Ukraine and got their primary propaganda site RT.com de-platformed in the United States as a result. The infrastructure of RT (Russia Times) did not evaporate, they merely began creating their own individual sub rosa propaganda networks, They discovered the "shelf life" of a YouTube "influencer" was very short but they could be useful dupes in nudging a certain narrative any way they desired. A single nudge from a YouTube influencer could effectively hijack the entire 24 hour news cycle with very little effort.

They began funneling huge sums of money towards a select few propaganda shills, which caused quite a bit of friction from influencers on both the left and right. The influencers were used to sow chaos in America. The last propaganda coup from Russia was spreading the lie about the Afghan lady boxer being a "man". (Russia knew from research that right wing beta male couch potatos were especially triggered by anything that could be spun to "transgenderism").

Sometimes there was pushback....Russia had RT push Tucker Carlson's fawning "Russia Grocery Store Adventure" to the max, and the Russian national handlers of the influencers (NOT the influencers themselves) said, "ummm, no, people are laughing at Carlson."

One tentacle of the Russian hydra was exposed when idiot influencer Tim Pool went overboard and declared Ukraine to be "the biggest threat to the United States in our lifetime, not Arabs, not Chinese, not Palestinians". A cursory investigation by the DOJ showed a shell company traced to Russia funding these "influencers".

It's important to realize that there are probably many mini-networks in operation all over the United States, only the most egregious one has been exposed. Interesting that the "influencers" are all claiming that THEY THEMSELVES are the victims here, they were told that a "shadowy Russian billionaire" was financing them because "he" agreed with "their" positions.

So? Extreme leftists spread disinformation and sow discord through CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, the Washington Post, NYT and other outlets to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, not to mention George Soros and others like Jeff Bezos, and we're supposed to be concerned with some Russians paying out a few million dollars to a few bloggers hardly anyone's ever heard of before.

Yawns in Russian. Who cares. Just another FBI disinformation campaign. Heard the Russia Russia Russia stuff before and been expecting it. I guess this was the best they could come up with. Tell you what, the day they arrest Soros, I'll give a shit. Until then, yawns in Russian again.

Why people take this bullshit seriously, I have no idea.
