My apologies, then.

Posner takes a dim view of second guessing what policemen do in the name of civil liberties.

And, he thinks a constitutional right to privacy does not make economic sense.

So his opinion is not shocking.

I think you have reasonable expectation to privacy in your car. The Supreme Court shut that argument down years ago. Point being, I disagree with Posner.


That's what I was thinking too. Regardless of whether one thinks the ruling is correct or not, you can't say it doesn't fit into a broader trend.




Shame you're too stupid to realize nobody mentioned conservatism or liberalism in this thread until you dropped in.

When we see several board conservatives using language that could have come from William Brennan, it's usually worthy of notice.
