I think what Trump is showing everyone in power is that democracy is no longer trustworthy as a form of stable government. He’s creating the appetite for a permanent ruler class and a permanent ruler.

I’d almost be inclined to agree, if Russia didn’t end up showing us the end-state of such a form of government.

Still, democracy as an experiment is dead. It’s now going to be a low-scale civil war between the Christian nationalists and technovangelists. It’s honestly hard to tell who will win this battle… the Christian nationalists have the numbers, but the technovangelists have the money. Both sides are led by complete sociopaths who have a willingness to make massive gambles and take unspeakable losses for long term gain.

Of course, would they share power? Of course not. These people, by their very nature, are unwilling to share.
