RFK Jr. for HHS Secretary - Is this the dumbest timeline yet?

Wait till the MAGATs find out that the anti-medicine fool who they think is ideal for Department of Health, is actually very much for higher quality food. No discount gristleburgers topped with cheese-in-a-tube for him.

The way he grifted the 'Children's Health Defense' (actually anti-health) into millions of $$$$$ for his own pocket was a qualifier, then his proposal that black Americans should get different treatment for Covid than white Americans was the thing that made him a shoe-in.

I actually watched some of it today and saw him get ripped a new one by Senator Warren and Bernie Sanders amongst others.

He made a big point about how chronically sick so many Americans are and that trump has asked him to help make Americans healthy again; he doesn't seem to understand that making them healthier (a fantastic goal) will be in direct opposition to all the big industries pushing to make the biggest profits from these people, be it through medicines, poor quality/low regulated food production, the rolling back of consumer protections about what people have in their homes, the insistence by team trump that climate change isn't real, the pollution of our air and water, toxins that will get into the food chain or contaminate the materials in our homes, let alone the whole vaccine disaster, and the drive to "drill, baby, drill."

When asked how many American children were dependent on Medicare, he said he didn't know but "guessed around 30 million." The person questioning him had the actual figure: 1.4(3?) million. In full disclosure, I sometimes confuse Medicare with Medicaid, so it was one or the other, but the fact remains that he is woefully, inadequately positioned to be able to understand or tackle the scope of this job. He even had to be schooled by another questioner about the existence of a specific part of his job regarding compliance with legalities. Embarrassing, but no doubt he'll be shoved into the position that he feels only HE can do, that he's the ONLY person uniquely qualified to be able to tackle the challenges. Egos, egos, egos. I almost expected to hear him claim it was his 'destiny'... he pretty much did, but not in those exact words.

Interesting RFK factoid dropped today: Harvard University has had a requirement for an admission essay as a condition of accepting an application to attend the prestigious school.

RFK jr. thought that was a ridiculous requirement and refused to submit one. Harvard officials contacted other members of the Kennedy clan and warned them he would absolutely not be accepted without one.

So he wrote an admission essay. His essay holds the record for the shortest admission essay in the school's almost 400 years of existence.

The essay was four words long:

"Robert F. Kennedy Junior".

He was accepted.

There is a nonzero chance his sister will say anything to cut him down, for take your pick of reasons: family rivalry, partisanship, she's fucking batshit, etc. But a blender could reduce the work of making stew. After removing the intestines, bones, and some other bits, blend the rest. My blender has been sitting on a shelf for 6 years since I stopped making smoothies.
Live animals.
