-Tom is a beloved highschool history teacher from Maryland, recently broken up and is now bag packing in eastern Europe. He is in the remote area of a country after leaving his hotel room behind in discovery when a Miliatary coup occurs. Allinternationals are evacuated embassy's closed.
-He makes it back to the capital discovering what has happened, through great luck he mkes to his hotel room escaping death. He tries to get to the American embassy late one night but finds it has been evacuated the flag and all.
-Trying to make it back to his hotel stealthly he finds a soldier about to kill or rape a woman. Tom watches the woman's eyes as he approaches behind the soldier, he nocks out the soldier with a piece of pipe he finds.
-The woman then pulls out a concealed weapon on Tom, and takes up the soldiers machine gun. He hears her british ascent she hears his asks if he's American, she then puts down the gun.*
-She leads him to a safe house where he soon finds out she's Britsh intelligence. Shes disappointed to find out he's not CIA, she was to be extracted by the CIA as she has critical intelligence in her possession. She laughs upon hearing his predicament. Reluctantly she tells him her name is Helen. She thanks him for saving her life as they hide out for a week. Meanwhile they grow very close to each other, and become romantically involved with wild sex and reading to each other in the candlelight. *

-While out gathering wood one day,*Tom is captured, and tortured for information on to locate Hellen, After two weeks of not budging they throw him in a whole. A day later he is rescued, by a CIA team.*
They are impressed that he didn't give up the safe house, Hellen has been debriefed and sent back to England. The CIA makes Tom a job offer.
