This week's Tammany goes to Pete Buttigieg, for going on Fox News after criticizing others (Tulsi, Bernie, for instance) for going on Fox News. Yeah, buddy, we get it. Your Presidential run is over, you're no longer Mayor of South Bend, Chasten is making you sleep on the couch, and Biden isn't returning your phone calls after you called Kamala those nasty names at the convention (we all know that you wanted Susan Rice to be Veep...your CIA buddies were all for her).

Still, to break one of your own rules..what's next, meeting with Assad?

I really look forward to seeing YouTube clips of you as Fox's newest token Dem contributor. I'm sure that Kirsten Powers is tired of the job by now.

P.S.

Dear neoliberals. Yes, we get that Trump sucks ass. Please move onto another topic, such as what you'll do for us that makes you not also suck ass.

Sincerely,
The American People

What? Without resolving the issue that Trump sucks ass? How so like just wanting to talk and complain about everything--not actually wanting to do something that actually resolves some of the issues.

Tell both parties to do things. The House and Senate, each controlled by a separate party, recessed, only resuming in the House's case to pass a symbolic attempt to help the USPS. No economic relief, no plan for any kind of solution at all. Just took off without doing their jobs as if they'd earned the vacation (which they obviously failed to do).

Meanwhile, the DNC approved a platform that is far more right-wing than that of 2016. No Medicare For All, no end to fossil fuel subsidies. It's not enough to point out that Trump sucks ass. You need to demonstrate that your side doesn't. The platform is a paltry start, but to be expected from a candidate who reassured Wall Street that "nothing will fundamentally change" and has wasted time chasing the mythical moderate Republican defectors instead of shoring up the base with serious reforms.

By the way, I'm old enough to remember a Democratic Party that used to be anti-war. What happened to that?

What sort of crack is "neoliberal" supposed to be, by the way? Speaking for myself, I'm an Eleanor Roosevelt liberal. There ain't a thing neo about that. I'm giving your posts a rest, starting with a few posts ago.

You might go look up "liberal" in the dictionary. There's no flame throwing necessary.

Neoliberals are those who essentially have surrendered the economic interests of the working class and the desire for fundamental, structural change in favor of a few tweaks here or there to keep the peasants somewhat mollified while society stratifies and the ruling class becomes more entrenched in its power and concentration of wealth.

Facts aren't flaming.
