Review score / Favourites Error

Be aware that stories are not being credited with all their scores and 'Favourited hearts.'

I have had 12 notifications that my latest has been Favourited, yet only 4 have appeared against that story.

I have had a friend favourite my story, and their notification has not appeared against my 'Keeping it Real In Madrid."

Be warned, as this is detrimental to story exposure.

Not all Favourites show up in the control panel. If someone adds your story to a list, you get a message that they've favourited it. If you download your story stats, you'll see an extra list of numbers called "Reading lists".

And bear in mind that sometimes people use the Favourites button to bookmark a story for later reading, and then unfavourite it when they're done.

Be aware that the favorites count can go down as well. I guess due to this. Or maybe decide they don't like you(r story) in the morning, once the beer goggle are off.

Everyone "suffers" in exactly the same way, so no-one is disadvantaged. The site refreshes different sections, different data views, on separate cycles, on a rolling 24 hour basis. Nothing is ever 100% in synch, the information never matches. The source of truth is your Works Page, everywhere else, there's always a lag in the data.

4.44 won't get you a Red H. That's at ten Votes or more with an average of at least 4.50. The number of Favorites is irrelevant for that calculation.
