I have been told that my last story was too wordy, so I was interested in picking up a book on who to write more concisely. "Write Tight" starts by comparing writing to bonsai and shows how to use bonsai techniques to write more concisely. I thought that section was very interesting and insightful and led me to cut out a scene in the story I am working on. Almost all of the rest of the book is throwing shit against the wall. A paragraph on this problem area, two paragraphs on that one, so on and so forth for about 150 pages. Without knowing which problems are in my writing, it was useless. When I did know that I had that problem area - I am a there-aholic - there wasn't enough substance to be of value.

Overall, not a lot of value and not worth paying money for.
