I never really linked the sadness and leaving, but you are right.
I got a lot healthier and socially active, but then a new health issue cropped up. Instead of being depressed about being home the last year, I leaned into writing and started learning to draw. Friends my age have jobs and kids now. Some have grand kids. Lol.
