"Return to the American Way of War"

I don't believe anyone said, nor implied, it was.
In any case, targeting civilians prolonged the war in the pacific, not shortened it. At least in all likelihood, since military targets received less attention in order to kill civilians. Much to the US Navy's anger.

If the Allies had invaded Japan millions of citizens would have died.

It isn't fair for only America to win wars. We have to allow the enemy to win too. That's the liberal way. It's social justice!

I don't know why people get stuck on the idea that war can only be waged by one sovereign nation against another sovereign nation. This is the 21st Century, fight today's war, not last century's war. As long as you insist on only fighting a sovereign nation, you will lose this war.

You were in diapers the last time the US 'won' a war.

If the Allies had invaded Japan millions of citizens would have died.
And the sky is blue. What's your point?

And just an FYI, millions of Japanese citizens had already died, since most Japanese soldiers were citizens.
